Israeli Ministers Approve Operations After Bombing

JERUSALEM (Reuters) - The Israeli government's security cabinet gave the green light Thursday for operations against "terrorist targets" following a Palestinian suicide bombing that killed at least 15 people.

A government statement gave no details of what operations had been approved but said the security cabinet had empowered Prime Minister Ariel Sharon and Defense Minister Binyamin Ben-Eliezer to decide what action to take.

At least 15 people were killed in addition to the Palestinian suicide bomber and 60 others were wounded in the explosion at a packed billiard hall in Rishon Letzion south of Tel Aviv Tuesday evening, police said.

"The ministerial forum for national security (security cabinet) convened tonight for a special session following the severe terrorist attack last night in Rishon Letzion and a series of other serious attacks thwarted by the security services," the cabinet statement said.

"The security cabinet authorized the prime minister and defense minister to decide upon operations against terrorist targets," it said.

It will be interesting to see what that new set-up (minus Arafat) will look like. I'm also wondering how much security the individual(s) are gonna need just to live through elections.

Israel should eliminate the term “occupied territory” in reference to Gaza. Expel all Pali’s and protect themselves at least at this one boarder. They should do exactly what Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq, Kuwait, Egypt, and other Arab nations did – expel the Palestinians

Seems I remember good old King ("Arafat never came to a bridge he didn't DOUBLECROSS") Hussein more or less apointing a WAR Cabinet and launching Black September against the PLO!

Time for Israel to be just as decisive.

If al-Husseini is banished, I think that the commoners in arab nations would scream for blood (more so than they do already). That'll force their leadership to engage in a war they know to be a doomed effort from the start, but necessary in order to maintain power. The arab public drive for war would be even stronger if he was executed.

I believe war to be inevitable, but would simply occur sooner if al-Husseini is removed from power. A war now benefits Israel since procrastinating only allows the arabs to renovate their dilapidated militaries.

As Patrick Henry so eloquently stated:

It is in vain, sir, to extenuate the matter. Gentlemen may cry, Peace, Peace -- but there is no peace. The war is actually begun! The next gale that sweeps from the north will bring to our ears the clash of resounding arms! Our brethren are already in the field! Why stand we here idle? What is it that gentlemen wish? What would they have? Is life so dear, or peace so sweet, as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery? Forbid it, Almighty God!

I'd love to see the Mossad rip about a $ 100 billion from a Saudi bank (kick those greedy camel f'n oil shieks in the cojones) and then blow up a couple of their private jets in the air. And blame it all on Pali terrorists ....

If I was an Israeli, I would be screaming at the Massad and the IDF.. You had to be really stupid not to know that the bastard bombers were going to do something yesterday. Where was the smartest intel service in the world [maybe they were still spying on America] and where was the toughest army in the world [ busy looting] when the bombers came? Two points, what is the deal with art students, I`nm cluless ---come on, if this last attack had happened in this country, GWB would be skinned alive. A blind man would have been able to see this coming, why was the pool hall even open at that time of nite?

I believe that is where this is heading eventually. There is no other viable solution. The so-called palis don't deserve a state--and certainly not in a civilized land.

Another amazing fact is there was no security and not even a guard standing at the front door of that venue. Incredible!

Yesterday's bombing will be regretted by the Palis. To me it appears nobody is in control and Arafat has been irrelevant since he backed out of the Camp David deal with Barak. The old terrorist Bugger admitted he had no authority to make any 'land for peace' agreement. Clinton's peace effort was a total fraud from the beginning which simply added to the tensions in the region. And Bubba slipped the Bugger $ 2 billion of U.S,. taxpayer money as a bribe ... which the Bugger used to pay for terror.

Sharon has no choice but to attack again and the homocide bombers will blow themselves up again today and tomorrow .... until Israel decides it is time to hit a major political leader. Or to hit a major site in Beirut or hit Iraq, Syria, Egypt, or Iran and then the world will be at war.

Islamic fundamentalists want the entire world to be under Muslim rule just like S.A. Note they are bombing in The Phillippines, Indonesia, and India and those bombings have nothing to do with Israel. Muslims are fanatics and they have declared war on everyone who is not Muslim.

Time to wake up and realize we in a religious war. Also to realize that Russia and China have both probably provided the Muslims with WMD ....

Go, Israel, Go! Hamas has already stated that the terrorism against civilians won't stop. They say that they want to die for the glory of their bloody god. Fufill their perverted wish. If a few innocent people die in the crossfire, that is regrettable, but tough. As if even more innocent people won't be murdered in the future by Hamas should Israel sit back and ignore these fanatical barbarians.
