I went out in our garden earlier tonight and just sat there for a few minutes just looking at the flowers and smelling them flowering vines..such a sweet smell. Do you have some wisteria?
I have some and it's blooming on a trellis that my husband built. I just walk through it and inhale. It smells like heaven.

Oh....I am so jealous. That is the thing I miss the most about the South. Wisteria. My favorite smell and flower (vine). Go out and smell it one more time for me.

I have peonies blooming and they are delightful. So fragrant. I picked a bouquet of them and have them in my sunroom near my computer. I also have a magnolia that's about to bloom. I always dreamed of having an English country garden and the home we bought about a year ago is so beautifully landscaped. The man was a master gardener and the lot is like a park. I love being outside, or sitting near the window and enjoying the view.
My hubby even figured out a way to keep the squirrels out of my birdfeeder. He put Vaseline on the hook I have them hanging on. It was so funny this weekend when he did it. A squirrel started climbing up it and got about a foot up, then slid back down. It was cussing up a storm in squirrel-talk about that greasy stuff on his paws. HAHAHAHA!

Yes, this is really weird. When we bought this house everyone said..NO wisteria in the desert.
But when I landscaped the back yard I did the whole thing as an English garden and planted wisteria and it is growing like crazy. The garden is doing great, it just takes more water then the desert ones you see all over the place . The last thing I wanted was to feel like I live in the desert. LOL
