To me it was obvious. President Bush met with Sharon too many times for the two of them not to have planned this whole thing out. The two of them knew what Arafat would do, but for the consumption of the rest of the world they had to make an honest effort to broker peace. NOW the chances of that is OVER. I have been saying this for weeks. Arafat's days are numbered

I hope Bush's "disgust" translates to full and total support of Ariel "the man" Sharon's intentions now. No more dilly dallying with "peace" talks and seeking accomodation from the Saudis and Jordanians and the rest of the scum. The only accomodation at this point is war or submission. Period. Many millions of Americans are willing to suffer through gas shortages and a downturn in the economy and whatever it takes to break the power of the oil producing Muslim states and sending them back to the desert from whence they came.

If this is all out war, which I take it to be, the US won't need to take Iraq out - the middle east will explode and go after Israel. The US will have no choice but to join in, if a couple of well placed missiles happen to hit Saddam, ooooppppssss.

Bush gave the Taliban time, he has given Arafat time, he has given Saddam time. Taliban time is up, Arafats' time is soon up, and Saddam will follow suit. By Bush waiting he has almost complete support, especially seeing the anger on these threads, to have Arafat eliminated.

I agree they gave Arafat the rope to hang himself. I certainly am hoping and praying that the United States of America FINALLY stands along side of Israel without any reservation or hesitation.
Puck Falestine.

To: Burr5
Iraq would be wise to not F-ck with Israel right now.

You're not the only grasping what just happened. This is not just about Arafat - remember, Sharon came to DC with proof the Saudi's have been funding terrorism - listen to his comments tonight "if someone acts to kill us, we will kill them first".
Sharon just laid down the gauntlet, this is and will be all out war.

"Buckle up! It's war."Sure sounds like it, friend.
"Will Dubya be willing to move against Iraq in spite of this?"
My guess? Yes....I think this terrorist attack really pi$$ed off the president.
It's real close to being the US and Isreal against the Middle East.

I was just about to comment on the fact he was speaking from here.I hope Bush gets the message;you cant deal for Peace with a criminal, calling Arafat a terrorist is too good for him.Unleash the IDF,and do it for real this time.

WOW!!!!!! Bush did not tell Sharon to act with restraint!!! In other words: "WEAPONS FREE." That is an amazing statement. All bets are off.

RWP, In todays Press conference it was obvious to me that GWB has all his chess pieces where he wants them and when he said the Palestinians would have to adopt a constitution I knew exactly where he stood. ARAFAT has reached the end of his rope
