What I gathered from swarthyguy is that he used to believe there was such a thing as "moderate Islam" until 9/11.

No, I'd be dead now :) -- I meant I was severely disappointed that the muslims of America sdid not condemn 9/11 and terrorism in a CONVINCING fashion. I really thought that the 'moderates' especially those living in the US and partaking of our society's freedoms and benefits would wholeheartedly condemn such savagery.
