Muslims Should Concentrate in One State

Based on the strategy of the Mormons who are mostly concentrated in Utah, American Muslims could pick one state out of the fifty US states where they could settle and win representation in the Senate with two seats and also claim Congressional seats and offices of the Governor, Mayor, and local government. The estimated population of Muslims in America in 2002 is close to 8 million. It may take an approximate one million Muslim Americans to migrate to a state such as Wyoming, Montana, Delaware, Vermont, Dakotas, or Alaska to make a significant difference. These states have a small population base, and a million Muslims moving in these states could help bring about a demographic change in favor of Muslims and their political influence.

Migration of one million Muslims out of a total population of 8 million represents an overall 12% impact, which is quite manageable. After the partition of the Indian subcontinent in 1947, Muslims migrated in numbers much larger than one million.

It will need the Muslims to have a higher clout to make a difference in the US foreign policy and curb the human rights violations in the Middle East. But migration (Hijra) of one million American Muslims would be a struggle for a higher cause rather than a manipulative step to serve self-interests.

And like I said.. sometimes you have spokesman/leaders in place that are good for one cause and not the other.. it's the same with our elected leaders.. some are great intellectuals and diplomats and then there is Rummy who just plain knows how to kick some butt. Let them show it with their words and deeds. This country offered muslims their biggest megaphone to show that they can live and function in a civilised society and world. All we got was berating of America, vilification of israel, and a constant demand to spare the arabs humiliation.

A large part of the problem, IMHO, is that there seems to be a cultural or social code among the Muslims, and particularly their leaders, that says that infidels are inferior to, and should be subservient to true believers.

To the degree that this feeling of superiority exists among the Muslim communinty, being Muslim is incompatible with being American.

• Islam is one of the fastest-growing religions in the U.S. By the year 2010, America's Muslim population is expected to surpass the Jewish population, making Islam the country's second-largest faith after Christianity.¹

• The American Muslim community is a mosaic of cultures, its members having come from all of the five major continents. In fact, a recent survey showed that most Muslims are immigrants -- 77.6% versus 22.4% U.S. born.²

• This same survey indicated that the ethnic origins of the Muslim community are as follows:

• While there are no official population figures for religious affiliation in the United States, experts estimate that there are approximately six million American Muslims. Other estimates range from four to eight million.³

• The Britannica Book of the Year estimated that, in mid-2000, there were 4,175,000 Muslims in the United States, 1,650,000 of whom are African American in origin. An average of 17,500 African Americans converted to Islam each year between 1990 and 1995.⁴

• The earliest group of Muslims to arrive in America in significant numbers came from West Africa from 1530 to 1851, because of the slave trade. They comprised an estimated 14% to 20% of the hundreds of thousands of West Africans forcibly removed from their homelands.⁵

• The next sizable number of Muslims immigrated to the United States during the early 20th century. They came from Lebanon, Syria and other countries across the Ottoman Empire.⁶

• The post-World War II era, during the 1960s and '70s, saw the third substantial wave of immigrants from all parts of the Islamic world. This wave included large numbers of Muslims who came to study at American universities.⁷

• Approximately a third of American Muslims live on the East Coast (32.2%), 25.3% live in the South, 24.3% in the Central/Great Lakes Region, and 18.2% in the West. ⁸

• There are nearly 2000 mosques nationwide as well as numerous Islamic day schools and Sunday and weekend schools.⁹

I know people are just having fun with this thread, but I seriously, and not just recently, have real concerns about this kind of immigration tactic. If it had not been for 9-11 they would quietly be filling up the country while we all went on with our daily business.

This is exactly what happened in Kosovo. Albania was going down the toilet and the Serbs were kind enough to allow a LOT of immigration across the border from Albania. They did not even require checks of any kind. Move ahead 10-15 years and add in some terrorist activities which caused a lot of Serbs to move out of Kosovo, and pretty soon you have a mostly muslim radical population.

As a majority population, they make changes - language in use, books for the schools. Bomb some churches, build some mosques. These people are expert at this scenario, one they also used many years ago in chechnya.

Therefore, take this post seriously. We need to be out on the streets yelling to reduce immigration, though in some cases it is already too late. The school discussed in this article, from 1998, is one mentioned in every article I read about hatred being taught in islamic schools.

I happened across a muslim piece shortly after 9-11 which suggested nearly the same thing as this post. It was like - "brothers, slow down, we don't need to fly planes into buildings when we can achieve the takeover we desire with other means, such as immigration".

They are indeed devious, as you suggest, and I can only hope that God is looking out for us here in America.

Granted Al Sharpton isn't doing a damn bit of good but I don't see how that effects the everyday passby in the street Muslim.. maybe I'm missing something here.

Compeletely agree with you. I'm no expert on Islam as I suspect many here aren't but either way Extremists have hijack the religion to a point where people cannot co-exist.. in a sense all religions and societies do that. Here the battle lines are on the issues of being gay or abortion.. to them it's literally life or death.. like in Nigeria where you can be sentenced to death for coverting from Islam. Islam may say things that can be interrupted many ways.. it seems that have moved farther and farther towards the harsh meaning of their words. Hell even the bible says eye for an eye but certainly not many Christians take that to heart.

Yes, we shouldn't be taking this lightly. Even a sizeable minority spells disaster. The Irony is that our freedom and democratic principles are being manipulated - the system that was intended to ensure minorities have a voice is being misused to acquire a political influence that will hurt the rest of us.
