Muslims Should Concentrate in One State

By Akhtar H. Emon

Based on the strategy of the Mormons who are mostly concentrated in Utah, American Muslims could pick one state out of the fifty US states where they could settle and win representation in the Senate with two seats and also claim Congressional seats and offices of the Governor, Mayor, and local government. The estimated population of Muslims in America in 2002 is close to 8 million. It may take an approximate one million Muslim Americans to migrate to a state such as Wyoming, Montana, Delaware, Vermont, Dakotas, or Alaska to make a significant difference. These states have a small population base, and a million Muslims moving in these states could help bring about a demographic change in favor of Muslims and their political influence.

Migration of one million Muslims out of a total population of 8 million represents an overall 12% impact, which is quite manageable. After the partition of the Indian subcontinent in 1947, Muslims migrated in numbers much larger than one million.

It will need the Muslims to have a higher clout to make a difference in the US foreign policy and curb the human rights violations in the Middle East. But migration (Hijra) of one million American Muslims would be a struggle for a higher cause rather than a manipulative step to serve self-interests.

Christians and Jews had not driven jetliners into the Penatagon and the WTC.

You can't be this ignorant. They may been Muslims but they do not represent Muslims anymore than that white boy wack job running around putting pipebombs in mailboxes represents me.

I don't know.. but like I said you can't hold every Muslim accountable for their leaders.. sometimes the wrong people are in place up top for the issues that seem important at the time. Happens with our elected leaders alllllllll the time.

Oh here we go again; they weren't true muslims; they don't represent the majority of muslims. I don't care about theological points about true or fake muslims. They claim they are real muslims and that's good enough for me.

I take it you are Christian.. if you aren't please forgive this statement. In the name of Christianity people bomb abortion clinics and kill people. Should you be held accountable for this too?

I agree, and ask myself another big question:

If these people were even slightly loyal to the United States, would 9/11 even have happened?

Given the small size, incredible clannishness, the amount they speak amongst themselves, their ability to converse without being overheard, does anyone seriously think that the events of 9/11 were not widely known in advance in the muslim community?

I have heard rumors from family members who live in the NYC area, who heard of a 'heads up' being given to many muslims in the tristate area, so they would NOT to go to work on 9/11.

I find it unfathomable that such a plan could have been kept secret, without the tacit approval of essentially the entire muslim population.

And the muslims' widespread apparent approval of the attack, following 9/11, seems to corroborate this notion of mine.

Apart from a fringe, mainstream Christianity does not condone those bombings and killings. Mainstream Islam has NOT condmenned those killings; do a search for islam or muslim on FR and tell me what you find. And our government would probably come down harder on the christian bombers than they have on muslim groups in America financing terrorism. Just last night, the Israelis arrested a member of the board of CAIR.

Numerous incidents prove that they did: the calendar from the Netherlands, the kid in NYC who claimed in his class that the WTC would not be there tomorrow; another kid in Texas who said WW3 would start tomorrow(he said it 9/10).

I don't think anyone in there right minds would suggest that many Muslims across the world didn't at least privately approve of what happened on 9/11. I think it's also reasonable to assume that 99.99% of Muslims had no clue 9/11 was taking place since some of the hijackers never even knew what they were doing. I think that goes along feeding the same conspricy that Israel knew what was going to happen on 9/11 and that many Jews didn't go to work that day. I think it's also unfair and reckless to deem all Muslims as bad.. I'm sorry you don't know any personally that told you that condemned 9/11.. I have and know of people who have been attacked even though they believe with all their hearts they are American. Espically in a country where we dare to claim that are citizens are innocent until proven guilty.

I won't disagree with you that several of our laws to prevent terrorism have been well, lax at best. I also won't disagree that many Muslims across the world supported the attacks. Unfortunely many of them have little or no understanding of what's really going on in the world. Many of them are severely uneducated. Many of them have been taught to hate by their gov'ts. Many of these problems have not been present within the American Muslim culture.. many of them that grew up here have different perspectives. I'd bet that many of the people who showed up to support the Palistians have come here in say the last 5 years or so. Even if that's not the case you can't wag your finger at just any Muslim and say "You bad".

All the usual suspects; poverty, low education, bad self-esteem. THe muslims of America are the disppointment. Either they are totally misrepresented by their leaders or they support the rhetoric of their leaders and spokesmen.

Its a stupid idea that should be resisted by the residents of whatever state is advocated. But I hope that you are smart enough to realize that not all muslims think that what this activist advocates is a good idea.
