I think it's a jab at Clinton by the Bush Administration.

Desperation is not a pretty thing to witness.

I dunno about you, but I'd rather have Bill Clinton talking to a bunch of nobodies in East Timor--all of whom hate his guts--than talking to an ever-fawning press here in the USA.

A big AMEN to that! Do any of you 'I'm never gonna vote for him againers' ever think there may be some method to GW's 'madness'? BTW, did you ever vote for him in the first place?

Maybe so. But it makes the Bush adminstration less credible to be using an ex-President so soon into a Presidency. Has this been done before? And has it been done with an ex President of such ill repute? To me, this just makes the Bush administration look less credible.

We have so many times said, 'The adults are back in charge'. Yet, we have the adults put a pre-teen on an assignment in an official capacity as a representative of the Bush administration? Sorry. Don't buy it.

If it wasn't for you, W, all us gals would be in burquas...

Right. It's a well-known fact that American men HATE to see women's bodies.

President Bush has picked a seasoned diplomatic hand for a new overseas mission:

I thought Monica was Klintoon White House staffer whos digits were most experienced at quelling inflammed situations. Or maybe shes now busy working W's White House since W has now adopted Democratic ideals. I don't know whose going to jump to the 'Rats next, McCainiac or W. I sure would like to have my money back that I donated to the Bush campaign. We have had more stupid stuff like dealing with palestinian terrorist Arafat and signing CFR and federalizing airport screeners and on and on since Bush was in office than we got from the 'Rats. We have better luck keeping out stupid gov't. stuff out when the 'Rats were in power (i.e. Hillarycare) than when its our side bringing in the crapola.

How will poor Mr Clinton conduct Democratic fund raisers for '02 elections from East Timor?

By meeting with the Riady's or whoever replaced them as the channel for illegal cash from Communist China.

You can spin Bush sending Clinton to East Timor all you want.

The FACT is that the Bush administration has not even bothered to investigate the many crimes the Clinton administration and DNC committed.

The FACT is that they've even ignored the Riady refund, where Riady under a plea agreement signed off by Ashcroft stated that the Clinton and democRAT campaign organizations never did return the MILLIONS in ILLEGAL campaign contributions that he gave them, even though they publically said they did. Now Riady could lose his plea agreement if he lied, so isn't it likely that the money wasn't returned? In which case, the Bush administration has the democRATS in a major felony. They can't even claim "we didn't know" because they already admitted that the contributions were illegal ... that's why they said they returned them. And, by law, there should be a paper trail to prove who is lying. One way or another, someone should be indicted over this and I don't see that happening. So the only reasonable conclusion is that the Bush administration is now covering for ELECTION TAMPERING by the democRATS using cash from Communist China. Prove me wrong.

It's a parade he's being asked to attend, A token assignment to say the least, Now nobody in the Press can say this administration ignored X42. When Ari Fliesher said "Clinton's policies in the middle east is to blame for the current situation" the press was in a stir. I read an article that pointed out how many times Clinton had GHWB represent this country and GWB has not asked Clinton to do anything.

A PARADE IN EAST TIMOR IS PERFECT

GWB is becoming a bigger buffoon and bigger disappointment with each day that passes.

Wonder what they have pictures of him doing? Is it the "dancing naked on the bar" picture?

I just don't agree that someone who has openly questioned the policies of the current adminstration be used as an official representative OF that adminstration- no matter where the location is. And you know Clinton. He'll milk it for all it's worth and STILL remain a thorn in the side of the Bush admin. To me, it's the same as asking Jesse Jackson to go out into the world in an official capactiy-- bad, bad, BAD idea. It will be perceived as a sign of weakness on the behalf of the Bush adminstration, not a brilliant move to shut x42 up. That just isn't the reality we live in.

I think his handlers feel that conservatives will flock back to him when they see whom he is running against...prolly someone like Hillary Clinton.

Well they are wrong.

To get there, you need to fly for 20 hours or so, much of it, on small inter-island planes offered by Merpati the Indonesian National Airline (they fly those little turbo prop planes that crash if the wings ice up).

Bubba-1 will fly there on either US military passenger aircraft,or on a chartered 747.No lines,no waiting, and no customs.

I can't imagine that Wild Bill will manage to get into the papers too much from there.

The press will be flying with him.

Yes, I did vote for him.
than talking to an ever-fawning press here in the USA.

Do you think the ever-fawning press isn't going along with him? If there is a big policy statement by Bush and a dumb-a$$ed self-serving speech by Clinton at E. Timor, who do you think the press will flock to? It would have been better to let the press know every time Clinton wants a job and let the press know that the Bush Admin. won't let him have a job because Clinton is immaterial and worthless. That's what Bush should have done. Not turn Clinton into an ambassador (that's the way the fawning press will spin it.)

Bush's problem is that if he doesn't use Clinton,

No ... Bush's REAL problem will come if he doesn't even investigate the crimes the Clintons, their administration and the DNC committed for 9 long years.

NO EXCUSES.

I still don't like it, even if it is only a parade.

Part of me can see the humor in it but that is overridden by the thought of Clinton representing the US. And that is disgusting, period.

Clinton used Carter in Haiti, which was pretty soon into his presidency.

Well, I don't understand it, but remembering that there is always a reason, I will wait and see. I have learned that first of all you have to find out if this is the TRUTH, or just another helpful leak from Clintonistas.
