"Suppose the hijackers had pulled the gun out of the pilot’s hand if the pilot had a gun?”

Wow, Cokie, good point. If that had happened then those guys could have done anything they wanted, even taken over the planes entirely and flown them into.....oh wait, that happened anyway. And because the passengers were completely unarmed, not because the pilot had a gun which was stolen from him. And Cokie had the nerve to criticize Bush's debating skills and "gravitas"?

And I do not think letting the passengers go on armed is the solution. I meant to say the passengers and crew were completely unarmed.

Why do you think she is "retiring"? It's not because she wants to,you can be sure of that. All she has done her entire life is draw on the political connections she had growing up as a kid with both a mother and a father who were Dim congressmen. She gotten rich and powerful from doing this. If you watch the show next week, pay close attention to how skinny and stressed she looks. Her eyes would damn near glow in the dark, and her head seems to be shaking a lot lately. Something other than her normal stupidity is wrong with her.

BTW,she has lived in DC all her life, and knows nothing about normal Americans, guns,or anything else outside of DC. She and Goober used to play together in the Senate coat room when they were kids.
