LYNN CHENEY: EMBARRASSMENT OVER OZZY FUSS AT WHITE HOUSE DINNER

**Exclusive**

VP wife Lynn Cheney told associates she was "embarrassed" by the commotion surrounding thrash rocker/MTV star Ozzy Osbourne's appearance at this weekend White House Correspondence Dinner in Washington.

"He's hardly someone we should be applauding... not a role model, I am rather embarrassed," Cheney said after the dinner, according to sources.

Osbourne's presence at the Washington Hilton on Saturday night cause a complete sensation. The rocker's Tuesday show on MTV has become one of the most-watched shows on the air among teens.

Cheney has been an outspoken critic of rock and rap lyrics marketed to youth.

Last year Cheney took on rapper Eminem, calling his music "the most extreme example of rock lyrics used to demean women, rock lyrics used to advocate violence against women."

"The thing about Ozzy is, he's made a lot of big hit recordings: "Party With the Animals," "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath," "Face in Hell," "Black Skies'' and "Bloodbath in Paradise,'' President Bush joked in his speech before the association.

Osbourne lyrics include from "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath": "God knows as your dog knows; blast all of you. Sabbath, Bloody Sabbath, nothing more to do. Living just for dying, dying just for you."

In the 1983 song, Bark at the Moon, Osbourne recited : "Howling in shadows Living in a lunar spell He finds his heaven Spewing from the mouth of hell."

Yes. There are anti-drug songs, too. Fairies Wear Boots, for one. Excellent tune.

Ozzy is a reformed ex druggie and alchoholic with a hit show and a foul mouthed family. He does possess a sort of rambling wit and is fairly plain spoken relatively speaking. The fact that Bush is cordial to him and even attempts some humour is irrelevant. We Conservatives have bigger fish to fry than whether or not Bush was too chummy with a bumbling aging rocker who has an affinity for cursing and who perhaps once glorified ambiguously evil lyrics and used intoxicants to excess. The proof of Ozzy's former lifestyle and it's detrimental effects is in the pudding.

We have nothing to gain from appearing staid. As for Sabbath and Ozzy's lyrics, they can be interpreted about anyway one wishes. Both he and Sabbath were merely riding the gravy train.

It was stupid of her to say anything. His presence there would otherwise have been associated with the press, now it will be linked to the administration.

This just goes to prove the the Bush's are not censoring control-freaks like the Dumbocrats/Clintonistas who were constantly trying to squelch dissent/criticism within their own ranks. (....typical fascists......)

I don't care for Ozzy Osborn either, but this isn't worth getting hysterical about. President and Mrs. Bush can respectfully disagree with Vice President and Mrs. Cheney on this matter--this is not a big fat hairy deal.

Much ado about nothing here........move along, move along, nothing to see.....

I agree completely. This means reaching out. Look at folks like the Rock, Ozzy, heck, Howard Stern's even endorsed Republicans on his show at times. What do you have to lose with it?

I say go for it. Bush should not let the Dems have anywhere they can rest on their laurels.

Got a problem with media bashing?

Yes, especially for those who seem to see media bias everywhere. All this constant media bashing makes them look small and childish. Whine, whine, whine. "It isnt fair!!" "They are a bunch of liars." "Life isnt fair, the media doesnt love us."

Contrary to your Godless Anti-American fag media rant . . .

I knew I'd out somebody with that one. Came a little too close for comfort, didn't it, light loafers?

And no, as a matter of fact, I did not watch the dinner. Nor do I watch any of the compulsively frequent Hollywood circle jerks that seem to be on the tube every night.

Why should I when I have pros like you to keep me apprised of every stroke?

So don't tell me how nice Association members were to Dubya the following day . . . HA! . . . I couldn't give a damn about their conterfeit appearances.

Instead, tell me how nice they were to him a year before or a year after or a week after.

And for YOUR information, approximately 90% of the bastards voted for Clinton in both '92 and '96. They, the rats they support, Hollywood, those in the performance arts (indeed, all artists in general), and their boosters, are cut from the same unholy cloth. There's not a whit a difference between them. If you don't believe me, ask anyone not cursed with vile affections.

Dubya shouldn't attend their dinners nor allow the un-American a**holes (at least those that actually are un-American) anywhere near the sacred grounds of the White House. IMHO.

I apologize, I did not realize she was foreign.
I assumed, incorrectly, that she was a disruptor.
My most sincere apologies for the razzing.
Welcome, SevenofNine!!!

Media bias is everywhere. If being concerned about that is "whining" or "childish" by your standards, then so be it. You'll just have to be more tolerant of those who hold those views, I guess...

You dont whine and you dont be tolerant of it, you just find effective strategies to get around it and succeed. Sitting and whinning that "they are not fair" is a sure fire excuse for failure.

Nope, as usual you got that wrong also. Straight Heterosexual here. I wonder about you though. I've found that those who wonder about the sexual orientation of others are often latent homosexuals themselves.

As far as the rest of your rant, I guess Ive come to the conclusion that you really are as dumb as you appear to be.

The song was written for Bon Scott (a close friend of Ozzy's), who asphixiated on his own vomit from alcohol poisoning.

According to Webster's, there are 3 definitions for solution. One is: 2 a : an act or the process by which a solid, liquid, or gaseous substance is homogeneously mixed with a liquid or sometimes a gas or solid b : a homogeneous mixture formed by this process; especially : a single-phase liquid system c : the condition of being dissolved.

This was the definition Ozzy was using. Killing yourself by overindulging on liquor.

Many songwriters aren't exactly clear, and a little research is needed. I am not going to blame Ozzy because some people are freaking morons.

However, most idiots who take the title at face value are just that. Idiots. It's easier for them to assume is means "killing yourself", instead of researching it a little. But then again, how would some of these preachers make money if their flock actually had the balls to question them?
