WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Bush and top members of his administration mingled and shared laughs Saturday with Washington reporters, insiders and some outsiders -- including famed British rocker Ozzy Osbourne -- at this year's White House Correspondents dinner.
Comedian Drew Carey was on hand to provide the entertainment during the more than three-hour event, doing stand-up comedy for the president and more than 1,800 guests, from top White House adviser Karl Rove to hard rocker turned reality show star Ozzy Osbourne.

YOU: "The fact that he's not as uptight and judgemental as some of the posters on this thread."
Be careful! There is a form of self-righteousness that is very subtle, but is the most extreme form, in the end. Take Larry Flynt, for instance. Many think that one thing he isn't is self-righteous, simply because he wallows in licentiousness and smut. But pornographers and metalheads are the ultimate self-righteous people, because they are saying that THEY are the only "honest" ones, and everyone else is just a hypocrite. They are saying that the self-evident Good in the Universe is phony, but that their way is the real righteousness. Think about it.
2) Ozzy Osbourne is only a show Satanist (though without knowing it, really serves Satan). Benny Hinn is the real thing - a true, bonafide, master Satanist.
"Hand Of Doom"
What you gonna do? Time's caught up with you
Now you wait your turn, you know there's no return
Take your written rules, you join the other fools
Turn to something new, now it's killing you
First it was the bomb, Vietnam napalm
Disillusioning, you push the needle in
From life you escape, reality's that way
Colours in your mind satisfy your time
Oh you, you know you must be blind
To do something like this
To take the sleep that you don't know
You're giving Death a kiss,
Oh, little fool now
Your mind is full of pleasure
Your body's looking ill
To you it's shallow leisure
So drop the acid pill, don't stop to think now
You're having a good time baby
But that won't last
Your mind's all full of things
You're living too fast
go out enjoy yourself
Don't bottle it in
You need someone to help you
To stick the needle in, yeah
Now you know the scene, your skin starts turning green
Your eyes no longer seeing life's reality
Push the needle in, face death's sickly grin
Holes are in your skin, caused by deadly pin
Head starts spinning 'round, you fall down to the ground
Feel your body heave, Death's hands starts to weave
It's too late to turn, you don't want to learn
Price of life you cry, now you're gonna die!
BTW: FRED I. GREENSTEIN
Haven't read the book, here's the author's page about it: it will give you a good idea of the quality.
Regards.
I thought the TOC was informative. Hmmm... no mention of Ozzie there though. Maybe Greenstein isn't aware of what's really important- judging by this thread- in understanding a President.
Did we ever find out if Lawrence Welk was evil? Or Wayne Newton?
I can only assume you're referring to the song "suicide solution" with this comment.
It's a fairly well known fact(easily verified through a little research)that this song is about alcoholism.
Suicide Solution
Wine is fine
But whiskey's quicker
suicide is slow with liquer
Take a bottle drain your sorrows
THEN IT FLOODS AWAY TOMMOROW!!
Evil thoughts and evil doings
Cold, alone you hang in ruins
Thought you'd escape the reaper
You can't escape the master keeper
'Cause you feel life's unreal and you're living a lie
Such a shame who's to blame and you're wondering why
Then you ask from your cask is there life after birth
What you saw can mean hell on this earth
hell on this earth!!
Now you live inside a bottle
The reaper's travelling at full throttle
It's catching you but you don't see
The reaper is you and the reaper is me
Breaking laws, knocking doors
But there's no one at home
Made your bed, rest your head
But you lie there and moan
Where to hide, suicide is the only way out
Don't you know what it's really about
Wine is fine
But whiskey's quicker
Suicide is slow with liquer
Take a bottle drown your sorrows
THEN IT FLOODS AWAY TOMMOROW
Well, for my part, I can say that Ozzy's plane was stuck in New Orleans years ago,He and his then young family came into our facility with the pilot. Great guy, funny as hell, and curious about everything. I'd tip a beer or a coffee with him any time.
I just saw another story where Bush is is getting us out of having anything to do with the ICC; that is a good thing.
"I've no more right to act as a spokesman for Ozzy than you've the right to pass judgement on him ..."
Right there, you are telling me I have no right to pass judgment on Ozzie the Ork. Judgment of him takes place in the mind. Therefore, you are telling me I have no right to think negative thoughts about O.O. You can't stop what I think and what I believe.
This is the mentality of which the 'thought police' are made of.
BTW, acting as a spokesman for O.O. would be a legal contract with O.O., which you don't have. Passing judgement on a person, last time I checked, does not require a legal document (I'm sure the thought police would like it that way).
Analyzing the responses on this thread, I surmise that people have more problem with my freedom to judge others than my critisism of Ozzie the Ork. I think we all can agree his 'act' is full of vulgar language, base, tribal music, all with an intentionally satanic twist.
One of the main points of contention which set off the '60's youth rebellion was the fact the youth of that day did not like adults judging their sexual promiscuousness. This attitude continues to this day.
It is right to judge, to be discriminating, and to analyze everything in our lives. Only fools and idiots do not judge.
