Posted on 05/04/2002 5:13:56 PM PDT by Hillary's Lovely Legs
The WHCA represents the White House press corps in its dealings with the administration on coverage-related issues.
A nine-member board of directors, elected by correspondents, addresses access to the chief executive; coverage arrangements; work space arrangements; logistics and costs for press travel to accompany a president on the road.
The WHCA also holds an annual dinner. The 2002 dinner will be held on May 4 at 9:30pm on C-Span. Drew Carey is the featured entertainment.

Reading all your previous posts was a real eye opener. I love the ones that start out with.... " I hate to say it, but Bush.... blah blah blah I hate Bush, blah blah blah".
So you are the guy in the neighborhood that gets his house toilet-papered and flaming bags of poop on his porch. We had guys like you in my neighborhood too. Mean Old Mr Ram.

Can anybody put a name to the face in the center?
To: hole_n_one
No, not a name but she plays a detective on Law & Order, SVI, I believe on Friday nights on NBC.

He said that that picture of the woman in the burka was really Hillary, trying to sneak into the White House to see him. :-)

"After hearing how Bush made fun of Cheney at this dinner, only God knows what kind of slime bag has invaded the WH."
President Bush also made jokes about Karen Hughes and his legislative laison guy - I don't remember his name - and about himself! Do you think he holds himself and them in contempt?
Of course not.
I thought the pictures of all the people peeking into the Oval Office were priceless - including the one of Dick Cheney - and the question he asked the VP went with the picture......
For heaven's sake - the President chose Dick Cheney as his VP. A less secure man could not possibly have done so since Dick Cheney is the multi-talented leader in his own right that he is.
One way to know the quality of a leader is to see what kinds of people he surrounds himself with. President Bush has done quite well in that regard, showing himself to be strong and secure - while the media lap dogs tried to portray him as inept and inexperienced.
Sorry you don't agree. We know that President Bush respects VP Cheney and treats him with dignity and honor - but he also has a great sense of humor ....and sometimes calls him "the Vice". I love that.
And, I am sure, the President also relies on the advice of Mr. Cheney on many matters. So get over it.

That's wonderful! What a great photo #340, and thanks to you for posting it! You've got some terrific pics here!
To: hole_n_one
And yes, that's Mariska Hargitay in #342.

Can you believe the mopes in #166 Wolfie and Harrison Ford who sat there looking like idiots not wanting to show the least bit of merriment? Why did they even bother to show up? It's obvious they dislike this president so much.

I was kind of hoping to see O'Rielly, Britt Hume and Hannity there, and maybe we just didn't see pictures of them. I know the White House likes Fox News!

Clue me in somebody, who was that woman, when they panned the general crowd at the conclusion of the dinner. She had these straps that covered her back and if you were a pre-med student you would have pointed with glee at all the prominent bones naming them according to your textbook....You have to wonder, fashion designers actually recommended that outfit!

It's obvious they dislike this president so much. It may be obvious to you but I doubt it is to a neutral observer. I saw both Wolf Blitzer and Harrison Ford laugh during the Presidents presentation. If you bother to look, they are even laughing in the pics you provided. Seems you have so much dislike for the media and Hollywood that you instantly see EVIL whether its there or not. There's enough to be pissed about in this world, dont create a mountain of new afronts just so you have something to complain about.

Again, my friend, you have illustrated my point perfectly. One looks like she hasn't eaten in 5 years, and the other looks like she lives on pies, cakes and whole sticks of butter.

It is funny that we can sense it. I think there is something inherent in W that makes people root for him. I thought Carey's remark about everybody holding their breath when he gets to a multisyllable word was a hoot. I know I hold my breath and pull for him when I hear him speak. Normally, someone's butchering the english language would make me insane, but with W, I'm just merely rooting for him and it's no big deal when "strategery" gets in the way. I think too, his genuine way of dealing with people is so refreshing when contrasted to what we'd had for 8 years prior to his becoming president.

You are too funny! I thought the exact same thing about the woman with the multiple spaghetti straps. Somebody should have steered her far away from that dress!
