Leaders outside the middle-east need to pick up on this and quit giving Arafat hope that eventually we'll give in to his tactics.
Another aspect of this begs to be addressed. The EU is largely unable to call Arafat on his treachery because they've exposed their own populace to increasing numbers of middle-eastern immigrants. France today has about 60 million inhabitants. Over eight million of them are middle-eastern immigrants.
The supposed move toward "enlightened" diversity was from the start about blunting national self-determination, but it is much more sinister than that. It has now begun to block admission of nation states that terrorism is wrong. Now, due to mixed cultures, France and the rest of Europe are neutered and unable to stand up for moral values. We're fast turning into the same befuddled nation state they are.
As time goes by, these culture clashes will wind up turning Europe and the United States into babbling masses that will swing whichever way the majority of rowdy immigrants say we better, or else.
We are there when it comes to illegal immigration. Our current President would rather cower in the face of illegal immigration than stand up for what his own fellow citizens know to be right. It's only a matter of time before this turns ugly.
