Going pro-Bush in Brazil
Morgan Freeman isnt among Hollywoods Bush bashers. The High Crimes star was in Brazil recently and told people that so far, George W. has been a perfect president.
The actor met with the Brazilian president and participated in the countrys celebration of African heritage. Freeman opined that black Americans have made strides toward equality. Our society is gradually improving, our source quoted him as saying. We always speak about the duality between whites and Afro-Americans, but it seems to me that the questions now are about the Latinos and Asians. Nobody speaks for them.
Freeman impressed the country with his eloquence, but then went on to shock them with some rather unstatesmanlike behavior.
The actor was invited to meet Brazils President Fernando Henrique Cardoso and had to wait about 15 minutes for the meeting. He asked the photographers to avoid taking too many pictures of him, our source says. Naturally, his request was denied. So he went on to pose like, well, you know, Michael Jacksons gesture to touch his, you know. Everyone was pretty surprised.
Freeman couldnt be reached for comment.

I always liked Morgan Freeman. He was my favorite on Electric Company.
Michael Medved said that Freeman is a veteran.

Electric Company...Great show...wasn't anywhere near young enough to be the target audience, but liked what I saw on it...I'm a little concerned about the Jackson tribute...That's a no no in Latin Countries isn't it? I know there's some deal about not touching a man's face.

A brave statement, considering that this statement will probably have a negative impact on Freeman's career in Hollyweird.

I didn't know it was even possible to shock Brazil.
To: Mike Darancette
I don't think he has anything to worry about, except his honorary Oscar at tis point (that he should have won for Glory)
To: Cinnamon Girl
Freeman impressed the country with his eloquence,... Well, we all knew that Morgan Freeman is eloquent, Ms. Ashley Pearson, but is he articulate?
I mean, does anybody edit the news over at MSNBC, or do the reporters just type it straight onto the wire?
What a maroon!

The Asians don't need anyone to speak for them. They simply go out, work hard, enforce moral values in their children, and succeed.

Probably getting ready to reprise Joe Clark (Great movie BTW).
Add "Glory" and a perfect double bill for the night.
