Joined by gubernatorial candidate Bill Simon, President Bush continued his trip on the left coast today as he spoke to a crowd in San Jose, CA regarding compassionate conservatism. Last night, Bush attended a fund raiser for Simon and raised $2.75 million dollars. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

Yes, An American Life has his Presidential years discussed as well as information from his early years. There is one very funny and gentlemanly thing, though. His mentions his years with Jane Wyman and the children they had in one very short paragraph.
If you can't say anything nice,...or just don't feel there's any need to hurt people, don't say anything at all.

Did he run with Rockefeller in 1976? I seem to recall he dropped him from the ticket? Am I delusional here?
My girlfriend and I were trying to come up with this. I was pretty sure Rockefeller was his VP but I still don't think he ran with him in 1976.

THANK YOU!! That's how I remembered it too. Two 4 letter names and 2 dull men. Oh, I feel so vindicated. I can't wait to tell my friend. I was right on both counts.

Dole wasn't boring at all. Don't you remember the debates? He was acerbic and interesting and funny. I know it wasn't politically correct then, but I liked him for his directness.

Yes, under pressure from conservatives, Ford dropped liberal Republican Rockefeller from the ticket.

Don't you wonder what the conversation was like among the President and the men standing around him after that happened? Better yet, the pillow talk in the WH that night!

Giggle. I'll bet rintense isn't the only one who thought up that pun in the aftermath of the turkey's antics.

Yes, I do remember the debates, and I actually liked Dole. He was just perceived as being dull, because he rarely let that sharp-edged personality out on the stump.
If he had, he might have had a chance in '96.

Let me know when they signal they're going to Bush. I notice how C-span announces President Bush will be on at a certain time and then puts on Democrats and brings Bush on late. I think they have a con running.

Okay. I will do. Specter is on now. It's going from bad to worse...

The man looks like Alex Spanos. He just had a new book published. He is a wealthy California businessman and owns a pro football team. Rush has info on his book posted on his website.

Do you think he would have had a chance against all the Chinese money and the liberal press not matter what he'd done? Plus Perot mixing in the mess?
Personally I doubt it. The corrupt fix was in.
To: hoosierpearl
Thanks for the info. Don't know anything about him but he seems to like our president so I like him.
