'03A3A3 - as in an AR flattop? What does the '03 stand for?
I bought a Bushmaster three months ago, I am still working on the correct ammo, sights, etc.
I have a RRA 2 stage trigger in the mail, so that should tighten the groups up a bit vs. the mil-spec trigger.

1903A3 Springfield. The one I'm buying is the Remington with the "C" stock which is the pistol grip rather than the traditional straight stock. The price is 475 dollars with $19.85 shipping to your house.
The requirements are that you have to be a competitor with a rating and be a member of the club or a sanctioned state association. Go to the CMP at www.odcom.com
They already ran out of the low numbered rifles but I don't know which those are. I forgot and deleted the e mail.
Tomorrow, I'm going to use my Armalite Golden Eagle and hope I can squeeze five more shots on my average. I want to start getting higher than a 465 average to the 471 Master score. I won't go if it's raining.

I use 69 grain MatchKings, H335 powder and Winchester primers. I should use Lake City brass because everyone else does but I finally have a load that I like using R-P brass. I gained 15 points from my average when my son told me abut the book, The Competitive AR15 and Handloading for Competition, both by Zediker. The AR book mentioned that shooters take a 8-36 tap and go down and redo the threads for the front sight and then back it up with a 8-36 set screw from the bottom. I never knew that my front sight was loose. It was like having a new rifle. I mentioned that to the guys I shoot with and they looked at me like I was insane. It turned out that I was the only one that didn't know that. Everyone else already locked their front sights. You better check to see if your's wiggles.
