I use 69 grain MatchKings, H335 powder and Winchester primers. I should use Lake City brass because everyone else does but I finally have a load that I like using R-P brass. I gained 15 points from my average when my son told me abut the book, The Competitive AR15 and Handloading for Competition, both by Zediker. The AR book mentioned that shooters take a 8-36 tap and go down and redo the threads for the front sight and then back it up with a 8-36 set screw from the bottom. I never knew that my front sight was loose. It was like having a new rifle. I mentioned that to the guys I shoot with and they looked at me like I was insane. It turned out that I was the only one that didn't know that. Everyone else already locked their front sights. You better check to see if your's wiggles.

Count me in for the 100 yd rifle competition, if it happens. I just joined a range with a 100 yd target. I've got the .22 Thompson Center Classic and love to use it! =^)

Not reloading...yet
Picked up a box of 77gr BH for competition and a SA battlepack for practice / plinking.
I have 500 LC brass I'm saving for the day I start reoading.
For for whoever is going to do the rifle match, I offer the following:
- Try National Target or Cobellas for the paper.
- Don't be afraid to ask for $5-$10 up front - It will cost you that much and minimize "no-shows".
- Use Priority Mail / Express mail / UPS Blue or similar.
