(Dan Burton, [R-Indiana] Investigating) Allegations that Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh is tied to Islamic terrorists.
McVeigh the story goes, met in an Oklahoma City motel with Iraqi agents before the 1995 explosion.
Part Two: Unsubstantiated reports that two 9/11 hijackers holed up with the suspected 20th hijacker Zacarais Moussaoui in the same motel room last July.
Coincedence?
Sources say Burton sent investigators to Oklahoma City to sniff around, tasked three staffers to the probe, and asked David Schippers, who led a house panel on Bill Clinton's impeachment, to advise.
But that's not all:Burton wants more staff.
While there's a lot of circumstantial evidence to investigate, like an allegation that the FBI stopped an agent from looking into the Iraqi angle, the feds say it is a waste of money.
None, as far as I know. But I don't believe that their testimony would be as effective as McVeigh's.

Our Governent is investigating in the person of Dan Burton Chief of his Congressional Committee whether Terry Nichols (according to the World Net Daily.com Phillipine Intel Deathbead cofession-on tape) met with the mastermind of the 1st World Trade Center Bombing and OBL's right hand man-in order to teach him how to make the OKC bomb.
I haven't heard what happened in this McVeigh meeting but the existance of the confab has been in the European press and I am not on the Congressional Committee.
Let National Security close down the congressional public hearings if this gets too hot, which it probably will....
Defenbaugh had been criticized for handling of McVeigh evidence
Danny Defenbaugh, the special agent in charge of the Dallas FBI office who had been recommended for disciplinary action for withholding information in the trial of Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh, plans to retire April 30.
. . .
"I will be retiring from the FBI on 4-30-2002 after almost 32 years," Agent Defenbaugh wrote in an e-mail Tuesday night to several colleagues. "I have been so fortunate to live a dream beyond my dreams. I plan on staying in the area and begin my search for a new and challenging career."
He declined to comment further Wednesday.
It remained unclear Wednesday what prompted Agent Defenbaugh's retirement. The 50-year-old bureau veteran became eligible for retirement about 14 months ago but recently said that he hoped to continue running the division.
Agent Defenbaugh said that FBI Director Robert Mueller had summoned him to a meeting Monday in Washington, D.C., according to two local law-enforcement colleagues with knowledge of the comments.
Special Agent Lori Bailey, a Dallas FBI spokeswoman, said only that Agent Defenbaugh was taking advantage of his retirement eligibility.
. . .
FBI officials in Washington, D.C., declined to discuss the matter or say whether disciplinary decisions have been made regarding any of those held responsible for the withheld McVeigh documents.
In a March 19 report, the Justice Department recommended that Agent Defenbaugh and three other agents be disciplined for the FBI's failure to turn over thousands of pages of documents to Mr. McVeigh's lawyers in a timely manner.
The discovery of the evidentiary materials, starting as early as January 2001, was not reported to top Justice Department officials until days before Mr. McVeigh's scheduled May 2001 execution, forcing a month's delay and embarrassing the bureau.
. . .
U.S. Sen. Charles Grassley, a frequent FBI critic who has pushed for tough discipline in the McVeigh papers case, said Agent Defenbaugh has been allowed to "get out the exit door before the curtain falls."
You're willing to left them off (i.e., give them life sentence) if they concoct some "off the wall" conspiracy theory for you to drool over for the next ten years?
Even if your story is true, no one would believe it if Burton was the person "exposing" the conspiracy. He has no credibility with most Americans. Think about it.

Dying declaration of bombing link
April 27, 2002
Elmina Abdul Angeles was on her deathbed, but she wanted the truth out about her late husband's role in the Philippine terrorist network responsible for numerous bombings and a plot to kill the pope.
Thankful for each new breath, she had summoned journalist Dorian Zumel Sicat to her bedside last month at Basilan Community Hospital in Isabela City, Basilan Province, Republic of the Philippines. She died shortly thereafter.
A transcript of the interview, spoken in the Cebuano language and translated by Sicat, provides new evidence linking the Oklahoma City bombing to Philippine-based terrorist groups, as alleged in a recent Judicial Watch lawsuit on behalf of 14 survivors.
"Good morning Mrs. Angeles," began the writer, presenting her with a gift of fruits and bread. Not up to eating, she politely nodded. "How are you feeling this morning?"
Her expression gave the answer before she mustered the strength to speak.
"Not very well." She motioned for one of her companions to fetch a drink of water. Sicat continued.
"You are not Edwin's first wife, is that true?"
"Yes, I am his third wife. For Muslim men, they can have even four wives, if each of the other ones approve."
The couple met in 1995 while he was incarcerated in the Provincial Jail in Isabela. She was working for the Philippines Information Agency.
Edwin was co-founder and field commander of the southern Philippines-based Abu Sayyaf Group, an Islamist fundamentalist organization suspected of bombings, assassinations and other terrorist activities.
When Edwin surrendered to Philippines police in 1995, local authorities dubbed him Number Two person in the Abu Sayyaf behind Ramzi Yousef. Edwin said Abu Sayyaf had 387 members and received funding "from those who believe in Islamic revivalism" in Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Afghanistan.
A police raid of Yousef's Manila apartment uncovered a plan to assassinate Pope John Paul II during his visit there in 1995. Police discovered the group's plot to blow up about a dozen U.S. airliners over the Pacific as well. Yousef was convicted in 1998 as mastermind of 1993 attack on the World Trade Center.
Elmina Angeles used her last few hours to set the record straight about her husband, who she said was really a government agent sent to infiltrate the Abu Sayyaf. The Manila Times journalist asked Mrs. Angeles why Edwin had taken the risk.
"Yes, I want to tell you why. I want now to tell the truth about my husband. I will die soon. I want you to know the truth."
She said Edwin was ordered to help organize the Abu Sayyaf and report all developments. He was called a deep penetration agent. This was confirmed in court papers from the Philippine Department of National Defense.
"Did he ever tell you about his activities in the ASG before he met you?" Sicat asked.
"He told me everything," she said. "I do not believe he would hide anything from me when we were talking alone."
"Please do not be offended, but how do you know that?"
She smiled. "Not only because I was his wife, but because he knew that he would soon be killed. He wanted me to know everything so that if anything happened to him, I could tell others." After Edwin's cover was blown, he was murdered in January 1999.
Sicat pushed for an explanation on whether her husband had met with Arabs and Americans in 1994, as has been alleged.
"Does the name Ramzi Yousef mean anything to you, Mr. Sicat?" she asked. "He had met with them. And an American who he called Terry or the Farmer, and another American whom he did not name."
Sicat pressed further. "Was the American he named as Terry, Terry Nichols?" Nichols, convicted in the Oklahoma City bombing, had traveled to the Philippines several times between 1990 and 1994.
"He did not mention a surname. Only Terry."
"Did he tell you why and how many times they had met?"
"They met almost every day for one week. They met in an empty bodega (warehouse). They talked about bombings. They mentioned bombing government buildings in San Francisco, St. Louis, and Oklahoma. The Americans wanted instructions how to make and to explode bombs. They told me that (the late Abu Sayyaf co-founder Abdurajak Abubakar) Janjalani was very interested in paying them much money to explode buildings. The money was coming from Yousef and the other Arab."
Was the "Farmer" Terry who Mrs. Angeles says met with her husband and Yousef in 1994, the same one who helped blow up the Oklahoma City federal building on April 19, 1995?
It's one of the questions nagging at the House Government Reform Committee headed by Rep. Dan Burton, R-Ind., whose lawyers were in Oklahoma City this week investigating.

Offer him a quick death in return for the information.
If this is true, probably will not be alive to even go to trail especially if he is representing himself.
Does anyone have the transcript of what he said before the judge this week.
Perhaps Jim Traficant knows something, can't wait for his tell all book.
The Nichols State trial in Oklahoma trial seems to have the best chance of the evidence surfacing there.
Ah... the Ken Starr technique.
It is even easier than that ... just exhume and autopsy Ron Brown and Vince Foster's body.
Find traces of a bullet wound in one or a second wound in the other, and Reno and the Clinton Administration would be toast. The fact that this hasn't happened given all that we already know about both cases suggests the Bush administration is corrupt too. What other explanation could there be?
I have little doubt that Oklahoma City was an Iraqi operation, that the FBI and the Clinton administration knew it was going to happen, and that they covered up the fact for political reasons.
It isn't enough to say that this was merely a coverup, however. After reading nearly everything that's been written on the subject, I'm often tempted to think that Clinton supported the ME terrorists as a means by which the "revolution could be brought to America." After all, the whole Islamic fundamentalist political movement in the Middle East has along history of being involved with the Kremlin. Terror is, in fact, an essential part of Marxist Leninism.
Either that... or it was simple Clintonian blackmail.
I wouldnt say everyone. The only ones drooling over the possibility are the delusional wacko's. The same group that has been drooling over UFO's, an invasion of Black UN helicoptors, and CIA sponsored drug smugling in Las Angeles.
