(Dan Burton, [R-Indiana] Investigating) Allegations that Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh is tied to Islamic terrorists.

McVeigh the story goes, met in an Oklahoma City motel with Iraqi agents before the 1995 explosion.

Part Two: Unsubstantiated reports that two 9/11 hijackers holed up with the suspected 20th hijacker Zacarais Moussaoui in the same motel room last July.

Coincedence?

Sources say Burton sent investigators to Oklahoma City to sniff around, tasked three staffers to the probe, and asked David Schippers, who led a house panel on Bill Clinton's impeachment, to advise.

But that's not all:Burton wants more staff.

While there's a lot of circumstantial evidence to investigate, like an allegation that the FBI stopped an agent from looking into the Iraqi angle, the feds say it is a waste of money.

And there wasn't even a ripple in the pond to the World Net Daily 'death bed confession' of a Pillipino in intelligence that linked Nichols to OBL's right hand man and Iraqi intel.

I would spare Nichols the death penalty too if he spills the beans on OBL and Iraq.

Evidently, accoring to the taped confession, Nichols was being trained during his 'trip' down there in explosives.

If Reno was in charge of the Israeli military and children were holed up in the church in Bethlehem, she would have given the orders to burn them out weeks ago.

The fact is we have two eye witnesses to the conspiracy alive and facing life in prision or the death penalty (Terry Nichols and the 20th Hijacker)

What harm is there in getting them to talk?

that is a very GOOD point...he did have a Philipino wife. I have been wanting to look into this issue....I just do not have the time. Perhaps if I get on my college newspaper I could find the time to look into the issue of the ME connection to OKC, bombs inside the building, etc. There is simply too many articles and info to try to wade through very fast.....and get interviews and documents to make the articles somewhat reliable.

Ashcroft is not elected to the Attorney General, he's appointed.
So "pressure" should mean nothing to him.
His ONLY concern should be his oath of office.
The "buck" in the Justice Dept stops with him.

Burton is the only one who can get to the bottom of this because the authorities don't seem to be interested in keeping Nichols alive or the 20th Hijacker around to testify.

Nichols is the key, under the Patriot Act there is no way the 20th Hijacker is talking to anyone.

A man facing 168 state murder charges in Oklahoma all over again might have some interesting things to day if the right questions are asked.

Your memory is correct. Many of us were completely dismayed. We'd hoped for better with the Bush admin.

Think in terms of campaign money. Hillary took a boatload of it from these groups. Then there was the Nobel Peace Prize he wanted so badly--and his best chance was getting a photo-op of a "peace agreement" between Israel and Arafat. He definitely courted the Arab side--but failed anyway. May he rot you know where.

I haven't heard of any other 'angles,' so far I hear (just like the JFK Daley Plaza debacle) Deathbed confessions of who is involved, Witnesses dying, Leads not beling followed up, FBI agents squelching agent investigations--

All followed by stone silence except for Dan Burton.(whose investigation may be curtailed by the 2002 election)

Yes. The pattern is called "Keeping enemies such as Iran and Iraq in the dark before we strike," even if it means that the average U.S. citizen is likewise kept in the dark.

Publicizing an incontravertible link between Iran/Iraq and an event such as the Murrah attack or the 9/11 attacks would send the immediate signal that the U.S. was about to attack.

There's simply no need to give our enemies such advance notice.

Of course, one could also say that the pattern was simply a lot of over-hyped conspiracy theories not causing the "predicted" government response.

When the underlining theory is wrong, so too will be our government's predicted reactions.

Try not to let every sensational theory pump your adrenaline.
