Clinton in running for TV job

FORMER US president Bill Clinton could soon start a gig as the co-host of a morning television program, US media reported today.
ABC-TV's gossip show "Extra" reported that Clinton is a candidate to succeed retiring television host Bryant Gumbel as the co-anchor of "The Early Show" - a breakfast news program on rival network CBS-TV.
The ex-president, who left office 15 months ago, already has been busy in retirement: his William J Clinton Foundation is assembling teams of business experts to provide financial, marketing and other technical advice to owners of small businesses in Harlem, where he maintains an office.
Earlier this month he took on a new job as a senior adviser to two investment funds run by a cut price grocery store tycoon, the Los Angeles-based Yucaipa Companies said.
And he is in the process of penning his memoirs, set for publication in 2003, for publishing house Alfred A Knopf, which paid him an advance of more than $US10 million ($A18.48 million) - the largest ever for a non-fiction book published in the United States.
I'm surprised no one has pointed out that pile of BS. There will be more fiction than truth in anything this disgraceful, deceitful, lying bag of wind will ever write. Assuming of course that he ever writes this book....
He'snever written a book in his life, and this will not change that record. A ghostwriter will study his previously ghosted "articles" and "speeches," sit down with the "author" for a few hours, and slap something, it doesn't matter what, together. No one's going to read it, anyway. It's just a pretext for his grateful fans in the publishing world to give him money.
Imagine how many talented writers won't be able to get book deals, because the publisher squandered all the advance money he could have paid them, for books that surely would have outsold Clinton's straight-to-remainder work.
Nothing anybody wants to remember.

That said, I'd hate to have to disinfect my television if I accidentally tuned in CBS with the Toon hosting anything. It's an accident when it happens NOW .. I wouldn't want to have to call it tragic.

...A couple of months ago American Media Inc's GLOBE Publication ran a Cover Story reporting that BILL CLINTON was being given $25 Million by Disney Chief MICHAEL EISNER to host his own daily ABC-TV Talk Show.
...BILL CLINTON's stated motives for this, besides the $25 Million, was to to sell his wife HILLARY's push for the Presidency against BUSH in Year 2004 and also to SELL the Amercan People that Sept 11th "Ain't My Fault."

The House is currently in Control of the Republican Party by the slimest of margins. It is also being reported that if the Democrats take over the House ...there goes our War on Terrorism.
