To some extent I agree. We needed a pitbull like Joe DeGenova, not the meek and mild Ken Starr. Starr was afraid to do his job. In normal circumstances, he would have done fine. But in this case, he was up against the Clinton slime machine. He didn't know how to handle it. They did an OJ on him. I've had numerous discussions with Dave Schippers. The crimes were there to be prosecuted. Pansies like Trent Lott were worried about political consequences and were afraid to do the right thing. The funny this is, had they done the right thing, they would have crippled the RAT party for at least a decade.

Now Doug, a personal question... did you grow up listening to the work of Alan Sherman? I've enjoyed your parodies here for years -- was Sherman your influence, or more like Weird Al Yankovich?
