I suppose you'll love it when some hostile foreign mail delivery service halts all their mail delivery until we stop supporting Israel or sign some environmental treaty or allow some other foreign interest access to our Atomic secrets. Maybe they will be unhappy that the Boy Scouts don't allow homosexual leaders and until they change their policy they won't deliver the mail. That’s a real good Idea. That will hurt our economy. How do you suppose the failure to deliver mail hurting our economy is not a national security issue? We also do not need foreign interests monitoring our mail.

I would also point out that I’m not your Son and there is a good possibility that I may be older and or wiser than you so cut the crap. We already have Several private interests foreign and domestic (willing carriers) available to carry your mail and packages. FedEx and Airborne Express here in the US and TNT and other foreign carriers as well. We don’t need “EU” to dictate to us to have access to mail carriers who are owned by foreign companies who may carry our mail.

Some of the airports in the United States are already run by the British Airports Authority.

While I certainly bristle at the idea of the EU "demanding" anything of us, I don't at first blush have a problem with injecting a little competition into the US mail and municipal services.

Maybe you think it is fine for foreign based companies to provide airport security also? I would have hoped that after 911, conservatives would re-evaluate the idea that the cheapest price is the only relevant consideration in determining with whom we do business.
