I sat in a college class with a guest speaker several ago, the local state Senator. He said that PA had among the strictest property rights of all the states and he believed the state needed to call a constitutional convention to change that, that property needed to be subject to more environmental concerns. Couldn't believe my ears. And he was a Republican. A sad day!

An update. Our radio waves crackled with the news yesterday that a lawmaker wanted to require that all secondary school students in PA had to have a heart test to ensure their good health. I love my child more than anything and her 16-year-old friend did have an unexpected heart scare. However these "it's for the children" impositions of governmental authority on families scare me to death. As soon as I heard it had been proposed by a Republican, I knew the rest. Yep! Proposed by Joe Conti of Doylestown. Watch this one. He's a RINO of the worst order.
