The commander of U.S. forces in the Persian Gulf has told senior Pentagon officers that a new war against Iraq would likely take five divisions and 200,000 troops.

Gen. Tommy Franks "wants to do a Desert Storm II," said one official, referring to the 550,000 troops deployed to the region in 1990-91 to evict Iraqi forces from Kuwait.

The sources said Gen. Franks believes four or five divisions of ground troops are needed, with a total strength of about 200,000 land, sea and air forces.

Sacrifing blood for oil.

“... kill them... kill them all!”

I believe it was once said by Gen. Jackson.

So true then, so true now. When you have a rabid dog... you put it down.

We'll take them out and take their oil. Screw the “greenies”.

I don't want to walk to work.

Sacrifing blood for oil.

A lot of blood was shed, on 11th Sep. 2001.

The President has put every nation on notice, that support of terrorism, will bring a firm and final response from the US and its allies.

If you cannot remember that far back, I've just provided you with a summarized refresher course.

Express your own sentiments.

George Armstrong Custer once said as a youth.

“My voice is for war!”

Bring it!<=/b>

No, they did it because we are not muslims. Isn't that what their good book preaches?

First try to convert infidels, but if they will not convert, kill them. These days, they skip the convert step.

"All because they hate our freedoms, right?"

Mostly because our freedoms threaten their 13th century regimes.

"Sacrifing blood for oil."

It's not a sacrifice if the military is a volunteer force. For them it's a personal risk, and for us it's a national price. It shows how pitiful you know your position is if you have to mischaracterize the issue in your very first sentence.

And BTW, this price is better than sacrificing the only modern democracy in the region for cheap oil.

Not really, the world has little to lose if that "democracy" ceases to exist. I'd take cheap oil over Israel any day.

You would? and your head is in your nether regions, Israel is the one true democracy over there, and she deserves our protection, although she really does not need it, she is strong enough to take care of herself, and she will if we let her.

I think that you should put your money where your mouth is and move to Iraq. Sit tight and I will see you in a couple of months, me and about 199,999 of my friends.

I'm sure you know that if the US or any Western European nation were facing the kind of threat that Israel's facing, our democracy level would be less than that of Israel. That makes you a sellout of any Democracy for cheap oil,... or perhaps a Jew hater.

Very impressive...

I dont remember having to pledge allegiances to democracies across the world as an American citizen. So not wanting to defend Israel makes me a jew-hater?

Very impressive indeed...
