Never Forget! The Truth About the Israeli Offer to the Palestinians (Vanity)
Self ^ | April 25, 2002 | Self

Never Forget!

Arab and Palestinian (and sadly European and liberal American) propaganda is currently blaming the suicide bombings, drive-by shootings and hatred against Israel on the "occupation."

This is a gross distortion of the truth. Never forget, Ehud Barak and the United States' final offer to Yasser Arafat on December 23, 2000 was:

1. 100% of the Gaza Strip

2. 97% of the West Bank

3. The Arab areas of East Jerusalem

4. The top of Temple Mount

5. Territory from Israel proper of an area commensurate with the 3% of annexed West Bank land

6. $30 billion to compensate refugees

7. Rights of Return to Palestinian territory (not Israel proper)

8. Possibility of limited immigration to Israel proper

Yasser Arafat rejected this astonishing offer by demanding the rights of return of all Palestinian refugees (all 4 million of them) to areas within Israel proper. The rejection can hardly be attributed to any “occupation” since the Palestinians were offered an area not a square inch smaller than what they are ‘officially’ demanding.

No nation of earth would agree to Yasser Arafat’s demand. Allowing 4 million Palestinians into Israel changes its demographic nature from a Jewish state to a Moslem one. Would France allow 60 million Egyptians to move to France? Would Sweden agree to 8 million Syrians immigrating into it?

The mere fact remains if Israel agreed to Arafat's demand; it will be effectively committing suicide. It is insane to believe otherwise.

Now, all we hear is "Occupation," but the truth is the conflict’s justification was on the ridiculous "Right of Return."

The Palestinians have shown themselves to be mindless fanatics with a homicidal bloodlust for Jews and Americans. Let us suppose they succeed in taking over Israel, what then? Will their hatred against the West go away (even if one imagines them murdering 5 million Jews)?

What reign of terror are they going to inflict on the world if they get access to Israel's nuclear weapons? If they are willing to blow themselves up with plastic explosives strapped to their bodies to kill a handful of people; are they suddenly going to be reluctant in killing hundreds of thousands with a nuclear suicide bombing?

Finally, stupid, cowardly, amoral Europeans. Do they seriously think Palestinian success in conquering Israel won't result in the vaporization of their own cities a decade from now? It is astonishing to witness European condemnation of Israel. Is it possible they are merely trying to placate the 20-25 million Muslims who’ve moved to their countries, of whom many, if not most are unassimilated and hostile to the West and its values; or are they giving vent to their underlying anti-Semitism; or are they outraged at Israel’s nerve to defend itself, or are they genuinely sympathetic to the plight of the Palestinians?

Whatever the reason, the Europeans have lost their courage to do what is right regardless of the consequences. It is hard to believe the self-confident Germany, Great Britain and France of the past are the same countries named today. Not one of the European nations would countenance 1/10th the attacks and suicide bombings Israel has experienced without retaliation. Not one is willing to accept the four million Palestinians into their countries. Not one appears to have to courage to face the facts of Israel’s precarious existence, justifying military response. And most significant of all, not one appears to think ahead of the consequences for their own existence and lifestyle of a Palestinian or Arab victory over Israel.

Sweden would agree to letting 8 million Syrians move in.

Why did you ask such a question if you already knew the answer?

This war is not about "occupation", it's not about land,--It's about hatred. Israel can give and give, but they will still hate.

I think the Europeans have very little to gain by backing Israel in this conflict..Maybe if some black gold started spurting out in large quantities in Israel they would show more of an interest. Anyhow, the world doesn't revolve around the Jews the last time I checked, (even though I get that impression by the majority of posts/posters on this site) and im sure Europeans have more to worry about than some conflict in the Middle East.

I think the world needs to back Israel right now. Don't look at this as strictly a Jewish thing. These terrorist are using Israel as it's testing ground, terrorism will be more prevalent in Europe and the rest of the world if we reward this kind of behavior. If you believe in a democracy then there is no other choice.

Thanks for the welcome...My comments on the europeans are not easy to come by. I am Greek by birth, but American by choise. I lost all faith in europeans last 10 yeras as they sat buy drinking their capuchino in their caffees while thousands of their neighbors were slaughtered in Yugoslavia. But they sure know how to blaim us for every ill in the world. sad that my great uncle died in France trying to liberate them. Europena have lost their self respect, self worth and are teaching their children to rationalize their way through life. Not what I want my children to see.

No..the world does not revolve around Israel. But at this moment where the Arabs are showing their true spots, Israel is the only friend we have there and I stand by them. And I dont hold back on that. The radical Islams many Arabs are embracing is the enemy of our way of life. Try focusing on that.
