Texas woman indicted on charges she left man in her windshield to die
The Associated Press Fort Worth, Texas -- A Texas grand jury has indicted on a murder charge the woman who's accused of striking a man with her car and leaving him in her windshield -- to die.
Chante Mallard remains in custody, with bond set at $250,000.
She's been indicted in Tarrant County on charges of murder and tampering with evidence.
Authorities say Gregory Biggs was struck last October along a Fort Worth highway. Mallard allegedly drove home with Biggs trapped in her windshield. Authorities say she then parked in her garage.
Biggs' body was later found dumped in a Fort Worth park.
Investigators had no leads until earlier this year, when a tipster told them Mallard talked about the incident at a party.
The stats you cite are of hate crimes 'reported' to the FBI......I was refering to actual 'convictions' for hate crimes.
I think we can all agree that claims of 'racism' are leveled by blacks far more than by whites, and probably only a small percentage of those claims will stand up in court.
Nevertheless it is had to believe that there could be such a large discrepancy between hate crimes 'reported' and 'convictions'....so I will assume that the FBI statistics probably disprove my previous claim.
Unfortunately I cannot locate the articles or documentation that claimed more blacks were in fact convicted under hate crime laws, but I know that nobody questioned it on the message board where it was being discussed. Perhaps we should have.
But whites outnumber blacks about 9 - 1.
Good point. This would mean a much larger percentage of blacks commit hate crimes against whites, than vice-versa...which perhaps was what the article I read was saying.

Besides, I was refering to 'convictions' under hate crime laws...the FBI statistics cited by the other poster refer to hate crimes merely 'reported'.
Anybody knows that blacks are encouraged to play the race card in reporting crimes, and claiming racism as the cause for anything done to them far more than whites.
I doubt whether most of these claims will hold up in court.
I stand by my original opining that far more blacks are declared victims of hate crimes than whites.
But once again, the statistics you cite are not of actual convictions, or even arrests...but merely 'reports' of claimed hate crimes.
