I haven't needed to take anything since the initial attack. I drink cherry cider every week. I watch what I eat and gave up regular amounts of beer. I also take Devil's Claw as a supplement. So far, so good.

Hills aren't a problem. Finding flat places to rest is a problem.

Thanks for the input. I have had great success with Aisics in the past -they are the only ones that seemed to not give me shin splints.
As for where I run. I run on a nice new soft track (track and field track). Nice cushion plus I can pace myself much better (it goes well with my tendancy to be detail oriented). I can know exactly where the 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 laps are. I can also start in the outside lanes and work in so I don't have to remember which lap I'm on.

Dietary fat and cholesteral are not detrimental per se, except to the extent that they can contribute excess calories.

Jeez, why not eat a healthy diet and exercise? Been there, done that. IT DID NOT WORK. At age 15, I looked at my fat parents and said, "No way in hell", and began running. Over the years I ran thousands of miles (according to my log books), pumped countless tons of iron, ate whole grains, lentils, fish, vegetables.... and I got fatter and fatter. Eventually I got so fat I couldn't run -- the excess weight gave me all kinds of overuse injuries.
Cutting way back on the carbs and going back to meat and butter was the only thing that worked. I followed DiPasquale's "Anabolic Diet" in the beginning, now I'm less strict.
Ironically, the carb-based diet is promoted as being good for running. In my case, it almost ended my running for life. Thank God, the injuries eventually cleared up and I am now able to run again.

I feel kind of bad by saying this because I have read the Testosterone.com for several years but i haven't used any of their products. Not because I don't think that they have quality products, I just find that it's easier to use my gold card at GNC & they don't carry their products. I have considered using their mag 10 which is a newer product but I just haven't got around to using it. How do they compare to the other protein supplements & products such as EAS & Twin Labs, are they better?

I can tell you that I know that it is a painful thing, people that have never had a gout attack just don't realize how bad it really is. My favorite description to someone is "Take a hammer & every time your heart beats hit your big toe with that hammer." that's how it feels. Also a sheet hurts while draped across your foot, it's the damnest thing i've ever experienced.

Grow, taste wise, smokes every other protein I have ever tried.
MD6, is by far the most helpful fat burner I have ever used...it greatly surpasses Ripped Fuel...they aren't in the same league, let alone Ballpark.(How do you think I can run 10 miles in the AM in under 84 minutes, go back 3 hours later and get in some quality Deadlifts....)
I also Love Androsol, haven't used Mag 10 yet.

I don't know about that now, look i'm not against this diet. Occasionally I will still use it, but Cholesterol & fat contribute to hardening of the arteries & such therefore I am hesitant to stay on such a diet. I will say this though, it will strip the weight off & my blood pressure went down while on the diet so it can't all be bad.

I've used Hydroxycut & Stacker 2, i've read where they say that MD 6 is really that much better but hell their trying to sell their product so sometimes you don't know who to believe. So you've used the Androsol, is it good? Have you ever tried any of their Concoctions that they have suggested such as Finasol?

Not really. I agree with you. Homemade veggie soup is great.

I don't think my statement is erroneous at all. As you even stated yourself, the induction phase limits you to pretty much a single food group with other food groups slowly introduced over time, but always kept to a minimum.
I understand that people have lost weight with that diet but I suppose you could also make a case that smoking helps you lose weight too. It's the method of losing weight I don't like. Atkins book (and yes, I have read it) basically tells you to either not eat or drastically reduce your consumption of breads, rice, pasta, beer, most fruits and vegetables. I just don't think this is very healthy at all over the long term. But to each their own. I'm just stating my opinion and my experience with the diet.

Finasol, IS out of this world. though It caused me to aggravate tendonitis, by getting Berzerk. The other Downside, is it really causes a horrible hangover if you drink.

I would like to speak in the good Doctor's defense: Atkins works, but you should absolutely take digestive enzymes with it, and you should treat it as a diet, not as a way of life. I don't buy what Atkins says on that...
I had tried diet after diet after diet, with only a little bit of success. I did a very fast and loose Atkins diet (40 grams of Carbos a day, with a tiny bit of cheating here and there.) for 6 weeks, and lost at least 10 pounds, gained muscle, and gained a new appreciation for the nature of carbohydrate addiction. I've managed to lose another 5-10 pounds since then. I've also lost almost 4 inchs around my belly.
Mind you, I go to the gym 3 to 5 times a week, with weight training 2 to 3 times out of that, but it was Atkins that really jumpstarted things for me.
I am just about to go on a very strict 18-grams-a-day-or-less Atkins diet for two weeks only. I imagine that will take care of the final 5 to 10 pounds I need to get rid of. After that, it's all pure maintenance. It's taken me three years to correct the mistakes of my misspent youth (HORRIBLE eating habits back then.) and I'm glad that Atkins gave me a way to finally get what I wanted.
It's not for everyone, but low-carbohydrate can be a great way to go if you just want an intense, temporary dieting experience.
