Well Protestants don't really have a hierarchy like you do. But as a Southern Baptist myself I'd say about 90% of my co-religionists support Israel. The United States is much more Christian than Europe and we stand firmly with Israel while Europe does not, perhaps that should tell you something.

My initial comment was still not answered, as to why you consider Christian groups who support Israel to not be true Christians. Who exactly is a Christian in your worldview?

The cited Christians are wonderful people, but they are dense. They believe that the intended slaughter of Jews is bad because religious prophecy/doctrine has special religious/historical significance to them. That is the same damn line the barbaric moslems take to justify themselves.

I resent you calling these Christians dense. We stand with Israel because it is the right thing to do, if the Jews were blowing themselves up in nightclubs we might change our view. Do not compare us with the Muslims

Who's Cathy? As for the rest of it, you may want to take the celibacy issue up with Jesus (Mt.19:12) and you may want to remove the 7th chpt. of 1 Cor. also.

I believe Christians stand for peace and justice, and I don't mean that in the liberal buzz word sense. Christianity has historically allowed broad flexibility for self-defense, but to hold an entire people hostage and destroy their lives for the sins of a few does not fit the historical mold for a 'just war'.

So what does Israel do with a population (not all of them but the majority of them) who believe that killing Infidels will win them rewards in paradise? You have a distorted view of what Israel is doing and who they are fighting against.

Israel has yet to prove that military aggression will bring it peace.

The Arabs started every single war, and the only reason Israel is still around is because their military won out. That's how Israel controls that territory, they won it in a war the Arabs started. So when the Arabs say that occupation is the reason for the conflict that is BS, because before Israel ever occupied it, the Arabs declared war on Israel in order to push the Jews into the sea.

Personally I don't believe there ever will be peace. There will be peace when the Muslims love their own children more than they hate the Jews, I don't forsee that happening any time soon.

The problem is that you don't see displacing a people from their homeland as an act of war.

A little over 50% of Israelis are Jews who were kicked out of Muslim countries because they were Jews. They have moved on.

What done is done, so now you have a people willing to accept the West Bank as their sovereign nation.

How do you know that now they are willing to accept it? If they didn't accept it 50 years ago why will they accept it now. Just because our media says that Islam is a peaceful religion doesn't mean it is so.

NEW YORK Ð About 150 protestors from the militant Islamist group Al-Muhajiroun called for jihad against Israel and the US at a rally across from the Israeli consulate on Friday afternoon.

They shouted "Death to Israel and called on Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, US President George W. Bush, US Middle East special envoy Anthony Zinni, and the United Nations to "Go to Hell" as police protected the demostrators.

The participants handed out flags emblazoned with the opening lines of the Koran and waved signs at the consulate that read, "Jihad: The only solution for Palestine," and "Islam came to dominate the world."

The demonstrators also voiced support for terrorist groups Hamas and Hizbullah.

-----------------------------
These guys at least don't seem like they will stop if the occupation were to end. You of course will say that they represent a minority of the Palestinians, but how on earth do you know that; and what do you propose Israel do if in fact this is the dominant viewpoint in the Muslim world

I don't buy your 50% number for a second. Name the countries. I know there are a handful from Ethopia, Yemen and other contries, but 50% sounds absolutely ludicrous.

I don't have a source because no one cares about this and people have moved on decades ago. But if you look at the Jewish population of Israel, a little less than half of them are white European and a little more than half of them are Arab looking. The Arab looking ones didn't leave the Arab countries of their own free will.

Your 2nd point about not accepting it 50 yrs ago doesn't make sense to me. Can you please enlighten?

The Muslims controlled the West Bank and all the other areas that Israel occupies today. They didn't accept it, they wanted all of Israel and declared war numerous times. When Israel won those wars, they took that land.
