April 22, 2002 -- Secretary of State Colin Powell yesterday said thanks, but no thanks to the latest bids by former Presidents Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter to insert themselves into the Mideast peace process.
"I don't have a role for either of them at the moment, but I'm pleased that they continue to keep their interest in the region," Powell said as he made the rounds on the Sunday talk shows.

Would you people be so kind as to quit slamming Curley, Moe and Larry by comparing them to the likes of Crimeton and the other democrats puhleeze! Some of us fans of Larry, Moe, and Curly are taking great offense at the comparison. :) If you need three clowns to compare them to I suggest Eleanor (Roosevelt), Neville (Chamberlain), and Julius (Streicher).
Thankew.

[...Clinton met with Arafat more than any other foreign leader,...] ## "And caused the ensuing mess in Israel."
. . .for sure. . .it was Arafat's meetings with the President of the United States that enhanced his image, and defined his 'acceptance' as a legitimate leader with a 'world class status' and as such empowered him and his constituency as well.
The Lib media continues to play this 'rejection' as somehow regrettable; the Repubs need to call this one as it is.
Of course they won't. . .

Yet liberal US Jews keep voting Democrat. I almost get the impression that they must be anti-semetic. I know a few who are now backing Bush strongly. Note that the Jewish organization B'nai B'rith now strongly supports drilling in ANWR, for example.. The self hating Jewish liberals are a lost cause, but they're not a majority. The others are definitely up for grabs.. (and remember , a majority did NOT vote for Hitlery in NY State.. Things are a-changing)

Powell declines assistance from Engine Company Fahrenheit 451 to put out the Mideast conflagration.
For the life of me, I can't understand why.

New poll shows American jews giving the President 72% approval for his handling of the middle east crisis. Don't be too sure that eyes weren't opened in the jewish community.

I sure hope they open their eyes. If Jimmy Carter's call for cutting off aid to Israel doesn't do it, nothing will. I CANNOT believe that idiot Carter. At least Clinton had the sense to only offer his help privately and didn't write a stupid op-ed piece. Carter is a total moron and he shouldn't be given the space to write his opinions. Errrrr!
What an embarrassment.

Gotta love it.

Was rather amazed to find Peres on the tube last night commenting on Carter's lame comments. He disagreed with Carter on EVERY point. Peres is beginning to see the light. He was not amused that EVERY country has lied about the campaign in Jenin and is anxious to see the record set straight. Since he is no apologist for Sharon his words carry weight in the leftist media.

Carter is a total moron Most of us who had to live through his Presidency will never forget what a disastrous failure he was. I suppose his "opinions" are valued by the truth-denieing leftist fanatics or those too young to remember (or too naive, to discount his "advice")
To: OldFriend
Well, good for Peres! He seems to usually undermine Sharon so it is nice to see him standing with him for a change.
It never ceases to amaze me how wrong the press is and I hope this proves to be the case with Jenin. They all jump on the same story like a bunch of pack wolves and then when the story turns out to be wrong, there is no reprimand, no nothing. The press is the most unaccountable organization in the world and they have WAAAAY too much power. Boy, so far this morning, today looks like a day full of ranting for me! LOL!

I remember Carter which totally solidifies my opinion of him as a moron. Remember the yellow sweaters????!!! Ha! What a joke he was.
He should go back to his Habitat for Humanity stuff and stay out of politics. Guess since he 'solved' that Haitian crisis during Clinton's term, he feels he can handle the MidEast now. Again, what a moron.
