I believed I was a conservative until Sharon became prime minister and I realized how many conservative leaders were warmongers and knee-jerk pro-Israel. That's because they understand the situation and you don't.

Sorry you don't agree with me--but I write the truth. You agree with most of what the PLO says, a group that has been shown to be among the most prolific and pathological liars of all time. I could start with 50 lies that have been shown to be absolute lies just in the last week or two.
YOU CAN NOT HAVE ANY REGARD FOR THE TRUTH WHEN CONSTANTLY DEFENDING AND AGREEING WITH LIES!
To: Leisler
Well said. Except it's not ignorance, it's propaganda. 13,000 people fled the camp well in advance of the operation. It's not as if they had no idea and no warning. The evidence is overwhelming that the innocent people had ample time to leave, as most of them did.
As you said, it went on for days. They could have done like Assad did to Hama, and just gone in and shelled the camp until it was completely destroyed and 20,000 people were dead. But they didn't. They went in house to house, risking the lives of their own men -- 23 of whom died -- and concentrated their efforts only on the center of the terrorist dens, weapons, fighters and bomb factories, leaving 90% of the town untouched.

How can any intelligent person read this and not recognize the propaganda? Of course it is propoganda, even if much of it is true, because it tells only one side of the story. It is calculated to generate sympathy for the Pallies, and in this aim it succeeds quite well. I even had to remind myself of the brutal terrorism that prompted the Israeli incursion

To: Feenian; Jethro Tull
Feenian, I think you might actually believe the PLO lies, which only makes you gullible, naive, and with no capacity for discernment.
The worst kind of people are the stooges like Tull, who know they are regurgitating nothing but lies, but do so anyway because they are Jew-haters.
To: Feenian
I knew you were one in the same.
To: ThreeOfSeven
The Pallies can't/won't negotiate a peace; Arafat proved that. They must have a peace imposed upon them if there ever is to be peace.

Let's see I hate to see people suffer - so I must be a Jew hater? The I's can hurt all of the P's that they want to but not with my hard earned American tax $$ - its time to cut off the welfare payments.
To: Democrats are liars
Is there no action taken by the I's that you will not defend?
To: Feenian
The Pallies were retaliating to occupation by almost daily suicide bombs PRIOR to the Israeli incursions the suicide bombings prompted, not in response to the subsequent armed Israeli incursions as your words seem to imply. Uou have it backwards

Without knowing it, your responses--and those of others--show absolutely no pity at all for civilian suffering.
Just a friendly suggestion...stick around awhile.
Then (speaking for myself alone) you might learn something more like the totality of
people's opinions on complex issues.
If the Israelis actually did commit atrocities or covered them up...
I'd say "hang 'em high".

Palestinians don't even respect brute force; however, in the face of it they would eventually have to yield

Imagine if the situation were reversed and this were Israeli families being slaughtered and their houses destroyed. You never would have heard the end of it. Imagine if the Israelis attached bombs to their children to send them out to murder Pali children having lunch at the mall.
To: VOA
Carefull - you're showing some impartiality with your comments - you will soon be branded a Jew hater.
To: Feenian
Condemning Palestinian recalcitrance and terrorism does not mean one would deny Palestinian freedom and statehood, althogh as other posters have indicated, its doubtful they would have much freedom under their own despotic and even criminal leadership, or would not be subjugated by Arab neighbors
