Dear Mr. President,

Fortress America won't work. All evil needs to succeed is for good men to do nothing.

Pick our friends carefully, and back them to the hilt.

Sincerely,
A concerned American for America

My grandparents lived in Williamsburg to 1995. I remember the Satmars well.

I also recall them banning technology.

Due to the high amount of time they spend studying the Talmud many are on welfare or section 8. Most have 8-10 children that they can't support either. They do not learn anything about American history.

Remember New Square --pardongate---and Hillary....

A similar sect...

"I wish I had a "disappear" ray gun....the Mall would be empty of all but Freepers."

LOL! A worthy fantasy indeed...or even one of those memory zappers like they had in Men In Black.

"He looks so much better than usual."

Yes, he does doesn't he? Must be the smaller size from lack of food and the shiny eyes from lack of light. If we are fortunate, maybe he will eventually disappear altogether under his tablecloth.

Sheesh. That 1985 fiasco in Philedelphia ---When the police actually dropped a bomb on the MOVE building. Set several block houses on fire , right? And let them burn. It was a precursur to Waco, only it was a local government.

I was a Catholic Worker anarchist/leftist back then and it set me off. I damn near wanted to join them, travel from Iowa to Philly. To this day, I still wish Mayor Good had gone to jail for that. Kids were killed.

But now. It's amazing to me how utterly vile the MOVE people are.

Does anyone know if the D.C. Catholic Worker people were involved in todays farce? I hope not.

Kewl! On what street? My dad and his family lived on Bedford Avenue, on the corner of Clymer Street. See the pic on my profile page if you don't believe me. :-D

I had never been there before, so we went on a Sunday morning last summer and although most of the brownstones on his block had been torn down and other things built, his was still there. It's now the office for some sort of non-profit.

I also recall them banning technology.

LOL! They all ran for cover every time I took out my digital camera, even though I wasn't trying to take pics of them.

Due to the high amount of time they spend studying the Talmud many are on welfare or section 8. Most have 8-10 children that they can't support either. They do not learn anything about American history.

Nor have they learned how to keep the outside of their homes clean. Some of the brownstones looked as if they hadn't been cleaned (at least on the outside) since my dad's family moved out of there, more than 40 years ago.

With all these personal messages it's like a Muslim Woodstock.

Does that mean they strip off their burkas and dance in the rain?

My grandparents lived on Montrose Ave from the early 60's until 1995. My dad grew up on Hayward St with my grandparents.

They were on the 10th floor of a building with a terrace. We watched the twin towers go up.

When I was a kid my Gramps used to take me all over. It was a really nice area back in the 70's. It started to deteriorate in the 80's and I shudder to think what it is like now.

Clymer St. that is pretty funny....

Are they really making history? Geeeee...

It sounds to me like they are making something...and it may very well be of historic proportions.

You are right, he could have but imagine the response from the universities and the like. I hate gradualism as much as you but I also understand the political realities. He would have had to declare a national emergency via martial law to do what you advocated.

If Bush truly wanted to turnaround the INS he never would have installed a self-professed Open Borders Libertarian like Ziglar to head up the agency. So I'm not sure what you see in any so-called reforms that the Bush administration is making, aside from some cynical window dressing. As for needing to declare martial law for halting immigration from the Middle East don't make me laugh. How do you come to this conclusion? In fact, this action lowers the chance that the Feds may someday have to declare martial law by reducing America’s exposure to terrorists.

"Pam Africa? They got the MOVE freaks from Philly down there? How soon before someone demands the abolition of the WTO or World Bank, or Leonard Peltier's freedom?" Heh...shouldn't it be "Pan-Africa"? Weren't MOVE the domestic terrorist organization that was blowing up police cars and such, and which Saint Mumia was a member of at one point in time?

It struck me that at any given time, with any given speaker, a good portion of the crowd must have been offended. They are so mixed up, so 'diverse'. Imagine, thinking you are at a peace rally and then having speakers stand up and basically call for the destruction of Israel.

What a mixture of gangsters/islamic-fascists, and supposably freedom loving peace-niks. Calling people "brothers and sisters" from the podium and then demanding that H.Rap Brown, the convicted cop-killer be freed. (I didn't watch the whole thing. Did someone stand up and put in a good word for NAMBLA?)

I don't see how any one individual could have sat through the whole thing and not realized that there were totally odious people on stage, leading the chants. What a motley crew. What luddy-duddies. Moon-calves and Jabberknowls.

(I don't know exactly what those last three adjectives mean. I saw a W.C. Fields movie recently and they're sort of music to my ears right now. Anyway, I bet that's what they are. And they shouldn't like being like that).
