While your point does not go unacknowledged, the answer probably lies somewhere in the "mushy" middle. Our government is still the best there is, albeit imperfect. And our way of life needs to be defended against even more tyrranous systems.

It's all about water.

Well, you've heard from the high and mighty. Here's a report on how I was very mildly useful in improvised fashion. I got there late, around 11:15 a.m., found the name tag table unmanned and sat down to man it. It was not far from the dividing line between our rally and those pro-Palestinian people. So a lot of what I did was explain to them that they could *not* have name tags. Sheesh.

The name tag table was, qua table, a place the press came up to it and asked for our leader. I directed the press to Kristinn, describing him as the guy in the black suit with a mustard tie (HELLO!!?), which pretty much identified him uniquely. Kristinn, needless to say, you were great, calm, and on message. I repeat all the praise set forth above and add that next time I see you I'm giving you a new tie. Hee hee.

I kept a close eye on the drifters from the other camp. But basically what I did was give aid and comfort to our friends. I gave shaded shelter to a friendly Fox news crew and offered (although got no takers) water to the U.S. Park Police, who as usual were *so* professional! So I enjoyed the speech and enjoyed giving water to friendly forces.

Let the record show I left the table but three times: to get Joe's autograph for my boyfriend (hee hee, I feel strongly World Net Daily guy and I are now on first names as a result of my brief "your speech was great" conversation with him); to hear the Sgt. speak (wow, was he great, I had to be up front with my jaw hanging, he's such a hero); and a third time when the Palestinian protestors were coming uncomfortably close to the rally (which is why it's always safe, I guess, 'cause there's always Park Police nearby to go stand by when that happens).
