Received two cell calls from Dave. The stage is set. The flags are waving. The weather is great. They're ready to Roll! Around 0945 the crowd was 50+ including Kristinn, sauropod, Leadpenny, Angelwood, Exit 148, GoreWarVet, Dutchy, Congressman Billy Bob, Black Agnes, TaxMan, TGSL DeComa, WhoKnowsWhatEvil, FireBrand, Country Dummy, Stan Waite, Pro2aMom, 0351Dog. (please pardon any mispelled "names" or omissions. The cell connections were poor).
Around 1015 the crowd was continuing to grow, with some spill over from the Peacenik/anarchist nitwits. Dave reports that it was the port-o-potties that attracted them. But our fearless Freepers labelled the doors "Patriots" and Patriot Women". It seems to be turning them away.

GRRRRRRollin'
There were about 100 Freepers at the corner of 17th and Constitution. Directly across the street from us were the Palestinians and communists. It looked like about 3,000+ at that gathering. Other protests were taking place throughout downtown so outrageous numbers like 35k and up might be accurate. But in our area on Constitution, the America-haters numbered less than 5k.
All of the speakers were outstanding and spoke with passion about America, freedom, a strong defense and especially the Bill of Rights. A nice lady, whose name I don't know was our MC and she did a wonderful job of keeping the speakers moving on and off the stage. The speakers were great and our crowd was fired up. Maria Heil of Second Amendment Sisters spoke about being a normal American wife who enjoys shooting guns and rifles, but being mad enough to do something when her husband told her about MMM trying to take away our rights. Robert Rodgriguez, Joseph Farah and Bob Dornan were incredulous as they described the hate America speech from across the street.
We listened to taped messages from Jennifer Connolly (USN ret.) who heads a veterans' group in Florida, and Rev. Jesse Peterson of BOND in LA. Both speakers encouraged our actions and sent their regrets at not being able to join us today.
Trueblackman and Dave Dilegge spoke about their pride in serving their country in the Navy and the Marine Corps, respectively. Trueblackman gave some communist disruptors a few history lessons from the podium as they shouted at him, blaming America for spreading misery around the globe (yawn). Trueblackman asked one heckler why he didn't protest the occupation of Western Sahara by Libya back in the '80s? The boy said he didn't know about it. Trueblackman asked why is America's support of Israel suddenly warrant a protest against so-called occupation? The boy was humiliated and shouted down by we Freepers. The girl heckler was nearly in tears when asked to explain herself. She was unable to express herself intelligently beyond F-you!
I was proud to stand with my Freeper brothers and sisters and proud to know that we are standing on the right side of history. I hope and pray that the rest of America sees what is happening on C-Span and is disgusted enough to speak out against terror. I am shocked to see support for Hezbollah in our nation's capital. But I couldn't be prouder to be an American and call myself a Freeper!

Just finished watching all the TV news reports on all the local network affiliates in the Washington, D.C. metro area. There were NO reported arrests nor incidents of violence reported anywhere in the city. NONE at all. This is despite the tens of thousands of pro-Palestinian protestors present all day today from that.
The only "tense moments" reported and broadcast were verbal arguments between our patriots and some of the protestors from the other groups that occurred around 1:00 pm this afternoon. Those were quickly broken up by the Park Police, but, the press nonetheless got the closest thing to a "violent confrontation" that they could report all day. :->

The Lawsuit is the most overused weapon in the leftie arsenal...which, of course, should not stop honest Americans from using the lawsuit against the leftie. Fight fire with fire.
