Patriots Rally For America - Live Report
Dave Dilegge - Live From DC | 20 April 2002 | Mustang

Posted on 04/20/2002 7:56:53 AM PDT by Mustang

Received two cell calls from Dave. The stage is set. The flags are waving. The weather is great. They're ready to Roll! Around 0945 the crowd was 50+ including Kristinn, sauropod, Leadpenny, Angelwood, Exit 148, GoreWarVet, Dutchy, Congressman Billy Bob, Black Agnes, TaxMan, TGSL DeComa, WhoKnowsWhatEvil, FireBrand, Country Dummy, Stan Waite, Pro2aMom, 0351Dog. (please pardon any mispelled "names" or omissions. The cell connections were poor).

Around 1015 the crowd was continuing to grow, with some spill over from the Peacenik/anarchist nitwits. Dave reports that it was the port-o-potties that attracted them. But our fearless Freepers labelled the doors "Patriots" and Patriot Women". It seems to be turning them away.

More to follow. Mustang sends from Florida.

Last (Post) Rally Update:

Dave Dilegge, USMC (Ret), is enroute to I-395 and home in Virginia. Connie gave closing remarks followed by all singing God Bless America. Dave has approx 71 photos, in which after editing, will post later on this thread. Sauropod has video of our Rally. (possible fund raiser).

Dave relayed to me that FReepers in attendance will be posting their on scene feedback.

Here is some info also:

People's Rights Fund, Inc.

Welcome!

The People's Rights Fund, inc., which was established in 1986,
is a not-for-profit foundation. As a 50l(c)(3) foundation,
donations to it are tax-deductible. The fund provides an
alternative to the mainstream charities. It provides funding
for educational progams on peace, civil rights, civil liberties,
economic inequality, anti-repression and social justice issues.

To that end, it allocates grants which fund conferences, meetings,
seminars, classes, national speaking tours and other activities
around the country which fulfill its goal of educating the
public about important international and local issues.

It also seeks to provide funding for the dissemination of
information not found in the daily print or electronic media.
To that end, it donates funds to organizations for the purposes
of publishing books, pamphlets, fact sheets, and other
literature and for producing videos which educate the
public about the above issues.

Aren't these people amazing?...

They compare Bush and Sharon to Hitler, which is incredible, but not one of these b#st*rds was at all critical about what Yassar has done to his people.

No mention of how they are sending children out as suicide murderers, and killing and maiming anyone in sight!

My son and daughter watched a bit of this garbage on C-Span this morning, and they just started laughing at the absurdity of it all.

If these anti-American protesters hate this Country so much, then why don't they move to Palestine? They can live there, and do their prostesting among their buddies.

No... they are cowards...enjoying the freedoms of this Country, without putting their words to actions.

Thanks to all Freepers, who stand up for this Country, and for what is right!

God Bless.

Unfortunately, that is always the case. We can never match their crowds and I must confess I do not understand it. It is a Saturday, not a week day. We should be able to get at least 5,000.

That's a lot of money! Hopefully, because of the portability inherent in a system designed for remote use, it would be used at MANY FReeps. Even smaller events that yield good video opportunities, such as FReeps of Clinton fundraisers, for instance.

Best of luck during the upgrade. It's good to know we have such tech-savvy FReepers such as yourself. Personally, a little HTML is about the limit of my "tech" knowledge. Later.

It should be noted that today's rally was peanuts compared to last week's pro-Israel rally.

We should have tired to get some of the anti-Pali crowd to join up with us.
