Did you catch the last caller today about 10 minutes before the show ended. She was very, very well spoken and took on Rush on his constant CFR and MiddleEast positions. She laid it out very well and Rush didn't have any time to counter her because he would of needed 20 minutes. I agreed with her myself and Rush told her she made a good argument but Bush should use these to increase the base and educate etc.. I bet Monday he leads off with her call because she shredded him !

Are you talking about the woman who said that other Republicans besides Bush need to push the Republican agenda and that Bush needs to be left alone so that he can compromise with the Democrats?

what are polls showing when people are asked if they support intentional murder of women and children as a means of maintaining political power?

That would correspond with their low opinion of the Palestinian Authority.
They diliberately target women and children, celebrate when they kill them, and glorify those who kill them as heroes.

The Israelis on the other hand do all they can to minimize civilian deaths. Unfortunately the terrorists disguise themselves as civilians, build bomb factories in the middle of ordinary neighborhoods and use civilians as shields.

What I'm tired of are people who hate Jews and/or sympathize with terrorist palis.

Israel is a democratic state, that allows freedom of religion. Arabs vote. Arabs are in the Knesset (sp?).

I think the Israelies showed way more tolerance of terrorisim and gave arafat about 10 times more breaks than I think the US ever would have. They finally did what they had to do, and have carried it out professionally.

I'm not jewish. But I'd be proud if I were. If Rush want's to praise that, fine with me. I praise it too.

why don't you join the protest in d.c. this weekend with the palestinians then?

I don't know what IM2Phat4U's position is but assuming he supports Arafat is shallow. I disagree with Rush because he sees US interests and Israeli interests as nearly identical. I don't but that doesn't mean I support Arafat. I want Israel to do whatever Israel wants to do to assure her security (and she darn well has the power to do it).

I do not want Israel gloaming onto our war on terror (although I can understand why Israel wants to). Very few Muslims in the world don't hate Israel. America has some solid allies in the Islamic world. We don't want America to become Amereal is their eyes. It will mean our war will be far longer than it needs to be, our economy will be devastated and more Americans will die than had the of joint action image not been created.

Imagine the worst case scenario. Not likely but it is possible they all turn on us. We lose our air fields in Turkey, Qatar, Bahrain and elsewhere. The 5th fleet headquarters is ordered out of Bahrain. Arabs slap a oil boycott on us. Egypt shuts down the Suez canal. Difficult to fight a war off the 10 aircraft carriers we can muster-especially when our economy is in the dumpster.

Rush's Constant Shilling for Isreal Has Led Me to Rome (Smack Off v. Bore Off)

Do you have some special Vatican radio station you're listening to now? Or did you mean "Roam" in the same way that you meant "Israel" when you wrote "Isreal"?

By the way, you could only consider Rush to be "shilling" for Israel only if you knew next to nothing about Israel and the history of the Middle East. I suggest "From Time Immemorial" by Joan Peters as an excellent place to begin your history remediation. At FR you could find the David Horowitz piece HOROWITZ: A MIDDLE EAST HISTORY PRIMER and the one by the Comanche college professor, David Yeagley, called American Indians Aren't Like Palestinians for a jump-start to give you an overall view in preparation for the Joan Peters book.

I disagree with Rush...

Sounds like you are ready to make the break and join The Reform Party Mr. Lied. Godspeed. And your beloved Arabs need us much more than we need them. They march to our drum, not the opposite.

Recent polls show that Repbulicans support Israel something like 62-7% whereas Democrats are like 40-28%

what are polls showing when people are asked if they support intentional murder of women and children as a means of maintaining political power?

They show that all Arab/Islamist dictatorships suck.

I still listen to Rush, but not nearly as much as I used to. I totally agree with him on Israel, but of course I did the first minute he was talking about it, so I have been tuning that stuff out. I also catch myself looking forward to Sean Hannity. I guess I have become somewhat Hannitized.

I listened to the Smack Off today and found it somewhat entertaining.

Who won the Smack Off this year?

Hey, go ahead and leave! No need to try to explain. If you are really listening, you know that it has not been three hours of Israel touting. Today Rush booted off another Bush antagonist who called to complain. He also spent a lot of time knocking the RATS. RATS don't like Rush anyway! It's an old leftist caller ploy to claim that you are a Rush fan and then trash him and the Pubbies. Adios!

Some people consider the war against evil boring. They are the same ones that were happy when Clinton launched a few cruise missles into Afghanistan, thinking the job was done, and they could now go back to "important things" like watching sitcoms on TV.

The rest of us understand that it will require a tremendous amount of determination, persistance, courage, and remaining ever vigilant to defeat this evil scourge.

I must agree with you. I have always listened to Rush or Rome at 12 noon each weekday. ...And I have become completely and totally bored with Rush and his endless blabbing about Israel, and have been listening to Rome MUCH more often. It is not his opinion on Israel that bothers me... I really don't care one way or the other about the Israel / Palestine situation. If these stupid morons want to kill each other over a pile of stinking rocks... let them do it. I don't give a hoot.

I must say that "Jeff in Richmond" had a superb performance in The Smack Off... but I was hoping for a better performance by "Terence". Congratulations on the win Jeff.

I dunno but last years winner and this years winner were not the best calls.

I started listening to rome when I was switching stations one day and heard him say Robin "speedbag" Ventura. It took me a second but then it hit. I almost had to pull over to stop laughing.
