No we will wait for a Roman Catholic Pope (Ubi Petrus, Ibi Ecclesia), not a Pope who believes in "phemonmenology" like this current imposter does.
Did you read the letter that that dispicable puke "cardinal" Egan wrote today. He again renews his faith in "psychology" no mention of sin, justice, or Jesus Christ. No persecution? My rear end there was no persecution. (I think it wrong to refer to your rear end in the same paragraph wherein you cite the lavender mafia)
Modernist Rome is a den of limp-wristed, lisping, venomous lie spewing, vipers. JPII will spew some nonsense to the Cardinals about the "dignity of the human person," some dung about making sure we take care to do be collegial(BTW, Jesus established a collegial Hierarchy. Is His "philosophy still acceptable?), make some platitudinous remark about his esteem for the American Church, and then ultimatly do NOTHING.
Time for Catholics to come home to the true faith. Check out the Society of St. Pius X and you will find the true faith of your fathers. (I am Irish. "Faith of Our Fathers" has a particular meaning to us and it does not include schism. Read the words of that hymn. It is about faithful Catholics suffering under those that did embrace schism)
I thought that as I posted this. But a bad bishop would still be better than most lay boards. And most importantly, there would be a clear chain of command. Poor appointments could be appealed to the pope. The lay boards are accountable to no one except for the alumni.
I don't understand the source of your confusion. Let me try to explain. "Faith of Our Fathers" is a hymn which deals with the persecution suffered by Catholics living in Ireland. They were being persecuted by those (English) who followed King Henry into schism,
The point of mentioning that hymn is that those being persecuted - Irish Catholics - would not follow Henry into schism. You invited me to follow Abp. Lefebvre into schism. I would no more follow Abp. Lefebvre into schism than those brave Catholics in Ireland would follow a King into schism.
Vesuvius, all I was doing was trying to correct your apparent confusion in thinking I was claiming the Catholic Church was the Irish Catholic Church. To be frank, this is the first time I have been accused of allowing to happen something that not only didn't happpen but couldn't possibly happen. If you think the Catholic Church has "flushed" the faith, then it sounds, to me at least, like you have lost the Faith. Jesus promised to be with His Catholic Church until the end of time. I believe Jesus.
"Neo-modernist...." The Fathers referred to in that hymn never used such neologisms.
The Pope excommunicated Abp. Lefebvre. He died, in so far as we know, unreconciled to the Catholic Church. Now, you declare him to be a saint? Can you name a single saint the Catholic Church has ever raised to the altars that died excommunicated?
Vesuvius, my Irish Catholic ancestors, upon hearing you call Lefebvre a "Saint," are spinning in their graves faster than an anemometer atop Mt. Washington.
