IF this was a terrorist crash, MAYBE it was a 'test run' to see if a smaller size plane would/could accomplish a WTC event.

Wasn't that building the Bishop kid hit in Tampa the tallest building in that town?

Here's a scenario: old pilot having trouble with landing gear, reaches back or down to manipulate some controls(some guy on CNN reports that with some landing gear problems it might require some type of manual operation, I have no idea if that is true or not), suffers a heart attack due to the stress and exertion. That's possible put as plausible as the explanation given by Nixon's secretary on how the 18.5 minutes of tapes could have been accidently erased.

Yes. Since 1968. Solo'd December 7th 1968 on a Sunday morning at about 7 am ... Didn't realize it was Perl Harbor day until I was on the way home.

They might well, however, retaliate against Moslems. And that is what I think governments fear.Or demand that govt. actually do something. Like deport.

I would say that you are a pilot, is that correct? From reading your posts, it sounds as if you are. Please confirm. ;-) AFA grad, 1000 hours as an instructor on B-52's before I was medically grounded. Kept rupturing blood vessels in my sinuses, bleeding all over my mask (distracting, hurts a bit, big mess to clean up...). Been around planes.

The early press reporting borders on irresponsibility! Let's review the reports so far at 2:10 pm EDT:(1) The plane took off from Bulgaria - THEN it was reported that it took off from Switzerland. (2) A helicopter flew into the building - No, uh, the plane was a single engine Piper, uh NO, it was twin engine. (3) The pilot made a distress call - also reported as SOS, that he had ENGINE trouble - Then the report is that he was having trouble lowering the LANDING GEAR. (4) There was a loud secondary explosion - there was no secondary explosion. (5)There was a report that the plane trailed smoke before impact. I understand that early reports are varied, scattered and not reliable but they should present these reports after an attempt to verify the information.

RAI Italy claims the pilot was Mino Fasulo, age 75. Sounds like a guy who could be overpowered, if he was in the plane at all.

Whats the wing span on a Aero Commander, about 60 feet?

And blind with one arm and no nose.

There were holes on both sides of the slim skyscraperDid you see the pictures on Fox? I'm surprised a good chunk of the plane didn't fly out the other side. I woudn't have worked in a building like that, something that high up, I'd prefer to have steel as well (I believe it was the tallest concrete building).

think it takes about 1800 lire to make a dollar. So 20 lire is about 1 cent. I bet low just in case.
Well actually the ITL is obsolete and no longer legal tender so you probably have to go with this
Live mid-market rates as of 2002.04.18 18:14:37 GMT.
20.00 EUR Euro = 17.7929 USD United States Dollars

MSNBC speculating on a plane hijacking after the flight plan. "What if ..."

Sorry guys, but I just don't see how a little piper plane could do that without it having explosives in it. And who would crash-land on a landmark skyscraper????could the smoke seen before it hit be smoke from a fuse ?
