Agreed, the architecture of the Milan building is totally different from that of the Tampa building. I'm not sure anything conclusive can be gathered from a simple visual assessment of the damage.

An American interviewed in Milan on Fox said the airport was about 10 minutes away. Also, the pilot was 75.

I am afraid is part of our microwave culture where we have to have all of the facts and have them right now.

Worse, there is a subset which firmly believes "microwaved" facts are far more palatable than those obtained in a time-consuming process.
