Wanna buy a really nice bridge?

However, if 911 had only been one plane we would have been told it was an accident.
I agree.

Yes, no doubt. If the Vatican isn't one of the most well-protected places on Earth, I don't know what would be.
I am seriously questioning the fact that they are reporting that this man was alone, he was 70-years old, yet they don't know WHAT type of plane it was? Then how did they get all the other information so quickly???

Well, just to much speculation for me. Going back outside and finish planting potatoes! Will wait for the 'video' to surface...
BTW...really hard to believe this was 'just an accident' but I'll reserve judgement for now.

ITS AN ACCIDENT! REPEAT, AN ACCIDENT!!! Airplanes do not fly straight & level into the center of tall buildings on clear sunny days. They just don't.

Milan airport has now been closedWhy if its only an accident?

>My impression was the oppposite - the fire went out extremely fast. Yes, but remember the Florida thing? There was no fire at all...
FYI -- here's a map that has a mileage scale on it. Does anyone know how much gas would still be in the tank after a flight of about 100-150 km?

If he took off from Switzerland, he wanted to hit with max fuel, hence Milan and not Rome.
The structural "lesson learned" by terrorists on 9-11 is to hit near the top of a skyscraper to collapse it and get max return for your energy input. The low flat Pentagon was a "dud" strike by comparison.

I assume NATO air patrols are on alert..

Now that was some good comic relief. =)

The government of Italy is now playing this down. Maybe an accident; maybe not. I am praying that it was. It's just too "coincidental" that this happened on the DAY that they were to play the tapes for the world of UBL, and not only that...but they have been showing clips since Monday.

Somewhere deep in the archives of FR is a thread on a guy who was cut in half at the waist by a diesel rig backing into him. The poor man lived for several hours after the accident, and he lifted his arms up to the ambulance drivers to help them. You should have seen the "madcap hilarity" on that thread. It was enough to make me wonder if evolution doesn't work in reverse.

Planes do crash into buildings sometimes. Name some.
The B-52 in 1946 that crashed into the Empire State building, for one.
There was a report of a small plane crash just this morning that narrowly missed a house.
IT HAPPENS!
