If the report that he hit the top two floors is accurate, it is the sign of someone wanting desperately to avoid the building rather than destroy it. I think we should be cautious. Not convincing: it's lots easier to go around a building than to go over it -- especially if it's engine trouble.
Yes, it could be an accident. However, considering how this one building sticks up like a sore thumb over the city, it's difficult to believe that a pilot who's enough in control to talk on the radio, could just happen to run into such a small target.

Exactly. I feel the SOS was given only to take attention away from other possible attacks. If it looks like an accident, the Italian gov't's guard won't be as high as it would if it were a suspected terrorist attack. Be very skeptical. Just waiting to see the pilot's profile...

The pilot could just as well been a Taoist grandmother of Eskimo origin. Why do you have to be so prejudiced?Experience.
Of course, I may be wrong.

Damage looks like at least 10 floors.

This "small" plane took out about 120 feet of the side of that building.
To: Bommer
Per AFP - The plane's Swiss registration is HBCNX.

SOS = "Some has a gun to my head and is hijacking my plane."
To: Bommer
this pilot defines the term "underachiever"...

...No wonder the BUSH Administration has called for the Media not to air these OBL Tapes in -Time of War-...???Things are not what they seem to be. These tapes are for Arab consumption and are likely provided by us.

Someone on FNC mentioned that the airport in question is a 20 minute drive from this location. Perhaps the SOS was to confuse?
