Just reported that a small engine plane crashed into a Skyscraper in Milan Italy
I spoke with them after 9/11, and they were not surprised that the people involved were muslims. They said that in their experiences with them in Italy, they were a hateful group of people.
Listen you stupid jackass, you referenced 9/11 in comparison to previous airline accidents and that is what I was responding towards. You understand that 9/11 was murder right? And it doesnt compare to an accident right? Thanks ass.
What in the world are you talking about? There are dozens upon dozens of airports in urban areas that are close enough to downtowns to where someone could say, when one hits a skyscraper, "Oh, they must have been trying to get to the airport."
Maybe, but 9/11 was the mother of all damage. I'd say this one was very major in terms of damage. It did more damage than the 1993 Trade Center bombing, for one.
The ground takes up a whole lot more of the possible directions than a single building, and the gravitational pull makes it that much hard to miss when the plane stops flying properly.
Mountains are a whole lot bigger than all the skyscrapers in a city.
A large percentage of the ground around airports is covered with houses.
Skyscrapers, on the other hand, take up only a miniscule fraction of the spaces that a plane could possibly fly into.
Maybe that was just luck because most airports aren't in the middle of a bunch of skyscrapers
Ya think?
The only thing we know, is a plane crashed into a building and people are dead. To spin these elaborate multiple-gunmen on the grassy-knoll theories sounds quite silly.
Well, considering all the airplane-flying-into-a-skyscraper-on-a-clear-day instances EVER, ALL of them have been the work of terrorists or their sympathizers. Considering the square-on hit of today's crash, assuming terrorism is a statistical likelyhood, not a "grassy-knoll theory".
Awright, so that's not a good theory. I'll still go with "smashing economic buildings screws things up, but smashing holy sites just annoys people" theory.
Name ONE instance of spontanious autopilot crashing a plane into a skyscraper.
This is what I said : Before 9/11, people would have been like "poor pilot" and then moved on with their lives..
Now what that means, is that if this guy had died/crashed before 9/11, people would have said "poor pilot" and then moved on with their lives. I'm sorry I didn't state it clear enough. From now on, I'll make a special effort to make things even more clear for you
btw, how old are you? Your failure to understand a simple statement that I made, and then following that up by calling me a "stupid jackass" makes me wonder if your even old enough to vote.
We are in a War. The World is at War, whether we like it or acknowledge it or not.
I know there is gallows humor - but your comments and those of some others just did not seem appropriate. I'll try to gather information elsewhere. Thanks for the apology. And you can help it it you try.
That could change IF the EU were to suddenly deport all of 'em and start breeding like crazy-say, 5-10 kids for every native European woman.I don't see that happening.
You're hard to take seriously when you chastise people for "not getting facts" and in the next clause claim that there's been an "official declaration" that this was an accident.
Of course, there's been no such thing. There have been some officials who've hypothesized that it was an accident, but that's light years away from an "official declaration."
I'm one of the least hysterical people around, but there's no question that far and away the most logical explanation of this, as we sit here now, is some sort of deliberate attack on the building. For a whole host of reasons, many of which have been discussed here.
It strains credulity--dramatically--that an experienced pilot would have run his plane into a building filled with his countryman at straight-and-level flight, and hit it the spot that a terrorist could rightly call "bulls-eye," unless he was intentionally trying to do so. Had the plane truly been out of control to a point where the pilot couldn't have avoided the building, the odds of it hitting the building at that wing angle, in that spot are one in a million. If the plane were out of control, you'd have seen some evidence of it before it hit the building. But there appears to have been no spin, no deviation from path, in short, really nothing to support the proposition that the plane was in fact out of control.
Those are the real facts. You should take a look at them before you wildly accuse people of being what they aren't.
So this thread is definitely an info-thread for me. I usually skip over silly comments and don't care about them. But it was just getting them again and again from you and texlok and the ElizabethinCincy person - well - they just hit me wrong and I commented about it. Enough said. Go ahead and have fun.
Most people who post on FR are not in a panic and are not in a mass frenzy at all. Some can get that way - of course. But, again, we ARE IN A WAR - an unconventional war - but a WAR. Anything like what happened today in Milan is a legitimate object of concern and certainly a legitimate reason to seek facts.
As we have seen in event after event after event in this country, often the first "facts" coming out are wrong. It takes time to get to the truth.
That's why FR is so invaluable. We get facts here that can't be gathered anywhere - not by the "general public." Again, enough said. Sorry for this interlude. I'll gather facts elsewhere.
I know, I know, but I just cannot help it. Taking three facts : a smoking plane sending out distress calls, a plane crashing into a buildling, and people dying, and spinning that into an elaborate OBL/Hussein/whoever terrorist conspiracy, it's just crazy.
