We are discussing how to take control of an out of control government on another thread. Care to join us?

Just think, all the dope dealers, general criminals, terrorists, and illegal immigrants, as well as all Americans would pay the same tax - the national sales tax on every product and service purchased.

I completely agree. Not everyone pays income tax, but everyone buys stuff at WalMart and Target. Liberals will whine that it's not fair to tax the "poor," but the working poor already are hit hard by the payroll tax. A sales tax would be fairer because it would hit everyone. Additionally, wealthier people would pay more simply because they tend to buy more. The sales tax on a new BMW would obviously be more than the sales tax on a bicycle. A few misers would pay a lot less because they don't buy much, but more power to 'em. The government is always complaining about the dismal savings rate. A retail sales tax would provide an incentive to save.

Happy April 15th. Aren't you glad the American Revolution was fought to end taxation without representation?

Hello my friend, hope all is well! They will not stop. What's enough? 60%? 70%? 80%? 90%? All? The totalitarians from hell continue their communistic confiscation for themselves, the bottom feeders, and their masters. They understand one thing, force. We will continue to pretend for a time, but, patriots will someday no longer wait for the foolishness of men and confiscation of tyrants, even Claire will say it's time. They waste our money, lose our money, and spend our money like drunken gamblers, then sick the IRS on us for more! Someday, permanent revolutionary term limits will be implemented on the confiscators from hell. And once again there will be no income tax, and the pursuit of happiness will begin once again. And perhaps the socialist nipple suckers of confiscated wealth will move to Canada, Mexico, or some other distant land of no regard where they can redistribute incomes of other fools on their way to slavery hell. I'm not sure when it will start. But surely we'll know the season, and see it on their faces prior to implementing the founding father tax reform. The cockroaches will scramble, but, just keep an eye out for spies.

IF VOTING MADE A DIFFERENCE THE POLITICIANS WOULD MAKE IT ILLEGAL

IRS Nightmares Get Senate Hearing

"As of late we seem to be auditing only poor people," said IRS agent Jennifer Long. "The current IRS management does not believe anyone in this country can possibly live on less than $20,000 a year, insisting that anyone below that level must be cheating by understating their true income.

"Currently, in a typical case assigned for audit, there are no assets, no signs of wealth, no evidence that would support a suspicion of higher unreported income. So when the IRS does initiate an audit on these people, these individuals were already only one short step away from being on the street," Long continued.

"I can personally attest to the use of egregious tactics used by IRS revenue agents which are encouraged by members of the IRS management," Long said. "These tactics, which appear nowhere in the IRS manual, are used to extract unfairly assessed taxes from taxpayers, literally ruining families lives and businesses, all unnecessarily and sometimes illegally."

HOUSTON...We Have A Problem (with hidden taxes)

TAX REVOLTS ARE BREWING

Robert the Bruce Father(Leper): I'm the one who's rotting but I think your face looks graver than mine. Son, we must have alliance with England to prevail here. You achieved that. You saved your family, increased your land. In time, you will have all the power in Scotland.

Robert the Bruce: Lands, titles, men, power, nothing.

Robert the Bruce Father(Leper): Nothing?

Robert the Bruce: I have nothing. Men fight for me, because if they do not, I throw them off my land and I starve their wives and their children. Those men who bled the ground red at Falkirk, they fought for William Wallace, and he fights for something that I've never had. And I took it from him when I betrayed him and I saw it in his face on the battlefield, and it's tearing me apart.

Robert the Bruce Father(Leper): Well, all men betray. All lose heart.

Robert the Bruce: I don't want to lose heart. I want to believe as he does. I will never be on the wrong side again.

I heard Sean Hannity today pitching the flat tax and it sounded good. But comparing to the consumption tax it is just as bad as the current system as it retains government monitoring (spying) of its citizens.

Abolishing the Income Tax will reduce products and services cost by 22% the cost of monitoring the income, of accountants, of reporting to the government, and the cost of preparing the income tax. It will free the people currently wasting their time and energy on this bureaucracy to apply their talents to the creative use and to produce income instead of counting it.

It will also close down the American KGB (oops wrong three letters) for good.
It will also greatly spur the economy by freeing all that money and energy to be used creatively, which would also mean more spending and more taxes paid.

The poor people would pay basically nothing (remember they currently pay at least 22% on every product they consume) and the rest will be paid by those who consume more. As it was pointed before that would include the criminals which would be the first. (Does it mean the current system protects criminals??? Ha? Ha? Congress for criminals?)

We don't need to improve the income tax. We need to get rid of it! Our founding fathers had a simple and clear vision of a citizenry with control over the money it worked to earn and with the corresponding ability and independent judgment to exercise its rightful authority over government.

Big bump!
