Dear Mr. President:
We write out of deep concern over your response to the recent events in the Middle East. While we appreciate the importance of sending Secretary of State Colin Powell to the region, we are troubled by certain developments that have occurred during his trip. By urging the resumption of negotiations between Israel and the Palestinian Authority (PA), before the PA officially abandons their policy of suicide homicides against civilian populations, you have dramatically changed your steadfast policy towards not meeting with Chairman Arafat until he commits to a cease?fire.
As long as Arafat continues to support and fund terrorists, it is difficult to conceive that any progress can be made from meeting with him. Most worrisome, a meeting between Secretary Powell and Chairman Arafat in light of today's attack in Jerusalem validates the contention that Arafat is gaining ground through his strategy of terror.
If Secretary Powell meets with Chairman Arafat, we hope that the Secretary will make it clear that this is his final opportunity. In the past, Mr. Arafat has proven himself to be unreliable in following up with commitments to peace. Consequently, we believe that Secretary Powell should demand that Mr. Arafat act to eradicate the terrorist networks operating under his authority. Secretary Powell should make clear that if he does not comply, the United States will sever all ties with him.
Finally, we are dismayed by the pressure on Israel to withdraw from Palestinian towns before the Israeli military has had a chance to complete its operations. As the United States knows from its experience in Afghanistan, an operation of this kind takes time. If Israel is not allowed to complete its campaign, more Israeli lives will be vulnerable to future rounds of suicide bombings. If there is to be peace, Israel needs to isolate those elements of the Palestinian Authority that threaten its existence.
Thank you for your attention to our concerns. We look forward to your response.
Sincerely,
Charles E. Schumer
Hillary Rodham Clinton
Susan Collins
Gordon Smith
Jon Corzine
Until a horrible thought came to mind...with the Buchanan-members OUT, the RF party is free to elect another Perot-ista Guru...
Oh no...NOT Senator McCain...
I'm not certain that a Woman/Woman ticket would call forth the Middle Road American because the Feminists already vote Democrat.
McCain could very well sound the Bugle Call to Middle America, and he has already proven he is a traitor to the Conservative Cause by PUSHING, and PUSHING the Campaign Finance Reform Act which will only serve to HELP HIllary Rodham be elected.
McCain, will YOU be the new Ross Perot?
"Hillary Clinton is another revolutionary in disguise, says Horowitz. She poses as a moderate New Democrat. But her totalitarian goals are similar to Friedans. She will do anything to get the power, says Horowitz. She will sound like a conservative, if she has to. But Hillarys policy proposals reveal her true agenda."
"She will sound like a conservative, if she has to."
Thanks to Horowitz and Author Richard Poe for the CORRECT answer to my question! More of their comments can be found at:

What a guy! :)
President Bush gave another GREAT speech today, as linked from www.drudgereport.com
He addressed Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan but also commented on the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict, because the two are very much entangled. For those who are stunned that America is not encouraging Israeli retaliation, they need not fear. Today, Bush laid out his allegence to Israel...
From Bush's Speech:
***************
"We will continue to remind folks that they have responsibilities in the short-run to diffuse the current crisis. The Palestinian Authority must act--must act--on its words of condemnation against terror.
(APPLAUSE)
"Israel must continue its withdrawals, and all Arab states must step up to their responsibilities.'
******************
President Bush makes it clear that the first obligation is with the Palestinian leadership and people to stop the terrorist attacks on Israel, and he stresses their obligation by mentioning them first. It is ONLY then, that America is calling on Israel to withdraw their forces from Palestine...
For why would Israel need to occupy Palestine, if the violence stopped!
Ah, President Bush. You ARE a Wise Man!
God Bless America
And Bless, too, our Commander in Chief!
There is nothing good about Hillary. Everything she does is political and for publicity stunts. And it seems to me that we have seen more than enough of Hillary Clinton in the papers since Bush became president. Hillary is not the President...Bush Jr is! The fact is the Clinton's ain't leaving and they are sure making their imprints in the press everyday. I'm sick of both of these two pieces of dungheap. They utterly destroyed this country and now they want to make an impression to the world on how much they CARE for Israel? How dare Hillary say such outrageous crap when she doesn't even care for THIS Country! She's a lying, traitorous, commie, who if you remember in Gary Aldrich's book "Unlimited Acess", refers to our Secret Service as "Trained Pigs".
President Bush's wisdom will see us through this, even though HIllary is trying to appear to be pro-Israel, Bush has taken the stance of ANTI-Palestine and expects the Palestinian Attacks to STOP.
Now, who is *really* pro-Israel? Bush, no mistake about it!
Also, War is Peace, Freedom is Slavery and Ignorance is Strength.
War IS peace. And the Israelis may have to go to war to have it.
