18. A person who is nice to you, but rude to the waiter, is not a nice person. (This is very important. Pay attention. It never fails.) BAM!! 100% spot on with that observation. That person usually wants something from you that you are not obligated by your current position to provide, hence, respectful treatment. But dont worry, we waiters have ways of making them pay...;-)...JFK

A couple of years ago, I went to a 7-Eleven to buy beer. The young clerk said, "I know you're old enough; I just need to put your date of birth in the register." So I gave it to her, adding, "Just turned 37 - older than dirt." She helpfully replied, "37's not old - my mom just turned 37." I wanted to kill her.
