The Time is Very Close!

  The Sovereign State of Israel says they will not negotiate with this devil Yasser Arafat. Our Prime Minister has declared him irreverent. This Jew killing monster has been proven time and time again to be not only an enemy to the Jews and the State of Israel but to the entire civilized world. He has been run out of the surrounding Arab Nations and forced into exile by Lebanon, and Jordan in the recent past, and Egypt will not allow these people who call themselves Palestinians to even come there. Yet Colin Powell comes to Israel as our guest and then goes against the policy of Israel and he and Shimon Peres tries once again to save this devil so he can one day to do us more harm.

In the Gulf War Yasser Arafat joined Saddam Hussein in murdering other Arabs, and today he has purchased one of Saddam Hussein's mansions as a place to go into exile when the time comes. And today the PLO Charter still calls for the destruction of the State of Israel, which is never brought up in the UN. When over two thirds of all the resolutions passed in the UN are against Israel.

Before 1917 when the British took control of Jerusalem from the Turks there was not only no such people as Palestinians there were very few Arabs on this land called Israel today. In fact, they didn't start calling themselves Palestinians until after the 6 Day War in 1967. This land was named Palestine by the Romans who did it as an insult to the Jews and in an attempt to strip it of any Jewish Identity. But the truth still remains that for more than 3,000 years, Jerusalem has been the capitol of the Jewish people. In fact, no other people on earth have ever called it their capitol but the Jewish people. King David, not Mohammed founded the city of Jerusalem, Jews always pray facing Jerusalem, and Moslems pray facing Mecca, while turning their backs to Jerusalem. In the Bible the name Jerusalem is mentioned over 700 times, and never mentioned once in the Koran.

As Bible Believing, God fearing people, who read the Word of God, we know that in the end times Jerusalem will be a cup of trembling. Zechariah 12:2. We also know that God will gather "ALL" nations against Jerusalem to battle, we also read in Zechariah 14:2b and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city. It is now becoming obvious that the half of the city mentioned here is East Jerusalem, or the Old City. But for those who think they will escape the wrath of God because they are not in Jerusalem should read Zechariah 12:9-10: And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem. And I will pour upon the house of David and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplication: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced...

We are about to see the great and mighty hand of God as it not only comes down and purges and makes pure His people Israel, but we will see His judgment of all the nations that come against His people. But the part that interests me the most is "and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced" for I believe this is why I am here as are many others. God has and is placing certain Jewish Believers throughout this land for a revival among the Jewish people, and He (God) is choosing those to be a blessing to Israel throughout His Kingdom. (Gen. 12:3)  No doubt there will be hell to pay before it happens, but we will be left standing and when the smoke clears God's Word will go forth from Jerusalem, and they (my precious Jewish people) will look upon Him whom we have pierced. Glory to God, I just have to stop and shout.

So even with the evil acts of many men, I can see in this visit of Colin Powell, and the double standards of President Bush in regards to Israel and Terrorism the Hand of God. I know it is the God I serve who is in control. But make no mistake about it, Bush and Powell will bring judgment down on the heads of those who live in the United States, and it shall rain on the just and the unjust alike.

The Devil has unleashed his religions weapon "Islam" on the world and it is now working full force on a global basis. Yasser Arafat is but one of his tools to destroy the "people of the Book" Jews and Christians around the world. Yasser Arafat is filled with the spirit of anti-Christ and he is preparing the way for the one that will be called the Anti-Christ. Time is running very short for us to be about the Father's business, to put aside all our foolishness and to give all that we are and have acquired to serve and too bless God.

I woke this morning an hour early at 4:00 o'clock to read the Word and pray, as we have a big day ahead of us, and will be traveling here in Israel. I am blessed to have [my son] Joel with me today, if you should get this in time, we would appreciate your prayers. Also for this car to keep running until we are able to purchase one more reliable.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, for our son Joel, for this Ministry and your part in it.  [Emphasis Added]

Secondly, Jesus was using a Jewish idiom, the day and the hour that no man knows.  That is a reference to the beginning of the "Feast of Trumpets" that differs year by year and is set by sighting the new moon months earlier.  So to quote this scripture and misapply it is a classic example of errors in the Christian church that stems from lack of knowledge of the Bible and also of the true Hebrew nature of the origins of our faith. 

So, rather than tell us we won't know when Messiah will come, He told us we will know the season, though not the exact day nor hour.  He went on to tell us to keep watching, not to sleep like the foolish virgins who were later shut out.  You get to choose whether to watch and wait, or to continue sleeping.

That's ridiculous. It is plain in the scripture. He said to always watch because you don't know when it will come. Not to always watch, because you do know when it will come. The problem is that some people have spent so much time studying the bible that they simply cannot accept the fact that they can't predict the end better than anyone else, including that millions of people for the last 2,000 years who always "know" the end is close.

I am doing a self-study of Isaiah right now, and I have just finished ch 20. The chapters you mention, are not talking about America at all. Specifically, in ch. 18, the topic is Ethiopia, and you can even throw in present-day Sudan. The other chapters discuss Babylon and Damascus, at the time of the Lord's Day, the last day of this age and the 1st day of the millenium.

A better place to find the USA is Eze ch 38, 39, and Obadiah, though there are many many more.

You seem to be professing to be a Believer, so I am rather surprised that you are so unkind to those who don't see things your way.
Just because someone believes in a rapture, or end time events that are still to occur, does not mean they are not true believers does it?
Do you really have all of this animosity for other opinions? Aren't we all supposed to do unto others?
You might win more over to your way of thinking, by explaining your points backed up with scripture in a loving way don't you imagine?
I have always wondered what those of you who think Jesus already returned in AD 70 think happens at the end. I have yet to get an answer, even after reading some of the books you recommend.

Good post, J.J.  And if they don't continue, they aren't disciples.  Simple.  The same point is made here: Joh 7:17 If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine...  The reverse is also true:  "If any man will do NOT his will, he shall NOT know of the doctrine..."  ... The reason is clear: Isa 59:2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.  Also, Ps 66:18 If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me:

Jesus said to Believe, Repent, Seek, Find, Receive Holy Spirit, Continue in the Word, purify oneself, depart from iniquity, etc.  Leave out any part of that as the false prophets [Click here!] have taught most in the church to do, and one will not finish the race.  Those who say they "believe" but refuse to do are practical "unbelievers" bound for the Lake.  Most seem to think they have arrived when they missed the initial requirement of Finding which is to Repent.and they have been deceived into not continuing.

Why does the dragon make war with the remnant (a small portion) of her seed, and not the whole?  Because those who have received the gospel of Easy Believism and joined the Church on the Broad Way to Destruction promising the lies of early escape and/or Once Saved~Always Saved have given their minds to the beast and will persecute those who are true, saying they are unloving and hateful for not joining in their ecumenical party.  They are the accusers of the brethren who are true, just as the hypocrital Pharisees accused Yeshua and had him put to death.

Re 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Re 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

Today most have proven themselves to be unfruitful branches, have been deceived and Will Not Endure Sound Doctrine (see #59).  The same companies that sell WWJD buttons and bumper stickers should now be retooling for bulk DOWNLOADS of WNESD replacements.  The true sheep never need to guess what WWJD would do because they hear His voice.  The English meaning for hear is "to perceive sound" when the L-rd meant the Hebrew meaning: "hear/obey and be given understanding."  One who does evil is an evildoer.  One who sins is a sinner.  One who does wickedly is wicked.  Simple.  This is why so few understand today.

Da 12:10 Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.

Kooks is a rather perjorative term. I think the one I would use is that the people on this thread are severely delusional. They seem to be living in some fantasy world that has no actual connection to the real world, only an imagined connection related to their own personal extrapolations. No doubt they are busy waiting for their own (conflicting) versions of the rapture at this very moment, divining the news from the middle east like an old Indonesian woman would divine the guts of the chicken she had just killed for dinner. Isaiah is certainly an exciteing read..especially in our time.
I have addressed some things concerning Isaiah 18 in my post # 43 on this tread.
With the Testimony of Jesus[Yeshua] we now see the prophetic form of "Duality" revealed...re-enforced also in the New Testament.
Isaiah is replete with duality forms..they would be seen as outrageous statements for His day..as how could the "Whole world see"..Isaiah 18 vs 3.
This speaking[prophecying] to the entire earth flows in Isaiah,Ezekiel,Zechariah and Daniel.
Isaiah 30&31 speaks also of foreign envoys..failed mediation..of alliances made ..but not by the Lords plan.
Although it references Egyptian Envoys..the understanding appears that in Isaiahs time,Egypt was the closet power of proxy for Israel to make alliance with to counter hostile foreign nations.
Now if we encorporate prophetic duality ,who would be Israels present "Egypt"..well it would certainly be the U.S..
So the Lord says ..foreign mediation and help via Egypt will fail..and even comments as in 30 vs 7.."Whose help is utterly useless..therefore I call her Rahab..the Do-Nothing"
When I see the flip flopping..the hypocrasy of Americas mediation and foreign policy towards Israel, Isaiah 30 and 31 leap off the pages and could be headline after say..Colin Powells recent "Over the water"..envoy plan.

I kinda thought that too, except Ethiopia is hardly a player. If Ethiopia declared war on its neighbors (host a banner and sound the trumpet) would anybody notice? They are not a nation of tall people, in fact they are quite short, they are not fierce, but some of the mildest people I have ever met. Far more things don't match Ethiopia than do match America. At least to me. Why would Ethiopia send ambassadors with ships? They are land locked and due south not west of Israel. Ethiopia is just the standard answer from the commentaries, but commentaries are not scripture.

It is a interesting set of scriptures, the "mystery" nation. I point out that all the other nations were clearly labeled. Why not this one, unless it did not exist at the time of the Prophecy. But I will not base my salvation on who that is, I have come to the conclusion that God did not primarily put prophecy in the book to tell us the future, so we could use the Bible as a crystal ball, but to tell us "I told you so" when it happens. It is for warning, and comfort, not for how to choose stocks in the market.
