Udai has no testicular fortitude if he accepts that order.

These three should get together and resolve this on an episode of Springer.

Family reunions must be a real joy. What I'd like to see is an internal coup, followed by a counter-coup, followed by a counter-counter-coup, followed by ... until there's no one left standing except the palace barber.

RE #8
Believe it or not, this is our best case scenario. Enemy imploding under pressure of invasion.

Sadaam isnt psychotically paranoid, hes
security conscious
VERY security conscious. I guess it must of occurred to him that since its his son, the guy is probably at least half as nuts as Sadaam is. Better not to take any chances.

Check out the long article on Saddam in the current
Atlantic Monthly by Mark Bowden (the
Black Hawk Down author). It's not online yet, unfortunately.
If the portrait that Bowden portrays of Uday is even slightly accurate, then I don't blame Saddam. Uday is almost continuously drunk, and pulls his gun on anyone who angers him.

Re #10
The secret of his longevity in power. security above all concerns. Bu the cost to the rest of population is enormous. This kind of society eventually crumbles. Security conscious men favors loyalty over compentence.

He looks feminized compared to his Tikriti father.
He take the order with his tail between his legs.

Re #15
This is the guy who beat his father's loyal vallet to death just because his father had affairs with younger woman, bringing shame and humiliation to his mother. He is known to have explosive temper. Looks can be deceiving.

It is the way of Islam for sons to kill their fathers and all of their brothers as the path to power. They've been doing it for hundreds of years. Saddam's "security consciousness" isn't about the Americans.....it is his own tribal relations he has to worry about, ESPECIALLY his sons.

Udai is a sociopath! And his evil daddy knows it!
