Yasser Arafat condemned all terrorism against Israel and Palestinian civilians

Way to go with the wiggle room, President A! First, he condems not only the terrorism HE sponsors, but throws in the part against Palestinians. That way, as long as the Israelis are going into these cities and getting the terrorists, Yasser can say that he can't stop his terrorists, because their "terrorists" won't stop.
Also, notes how he throws the word "civilians" in there. So I guess it's still okay for his terrorists to bomb non-civilian targets?

Anything said under duress like this is worthless. It is a complete and obvious sham for him to comdemn yesterday's bombing just so Powell can possibly meet with him and he further his bloody, murderous cause.

If he really meant to condemn terrorism against Israel he would have said it long ago-before being surrounded, he would have taken concrete action to stop it in the years he has had, he would not be bankrolling it, and he would not be encouraging it daily amongst his followers.

If Powell meets with this murdering, lieing, blood-on-his-hands terrorist ... then he has compromised our entire message regarding thew war on terrorism.

"You are either with us, or you are with the terrorists"

There is no doubt at all where Arafat is.

We don't negotiate with terrorists. Period! Arafta is a terrorist.

Implying, of course, that the Israelis are terrorists against Palestinians.

His "statement" is nothing but political doublespeak!

Colin Powell is wishy washy. He was never a conservative and I never had high hopes for him.

That is truth, but watch Powell fall all over himself to see Arafat now. Complete and utter BS!

Nobody really cares what that fat, ugly sick old psychotic has-been Arafat says. Nobody. BTW, isn't Suha in Paris, where there have been attacks against synagogues?

Sharon and Arafart know each other very well. Sharon knows and has known Arafart for the liar he is, for the last 40+ years.

Arafart on the other hand, knows Sharon to be a fierce defender of Israel, and a ruthless oppoent who will stop at nothing to get the job done, to defend his homeland.

Having said that, Sharon isn't about to stop doing what he's doing. They'll finish the job. Hopefully that includes the end of Arafart's life.

There's still that problem of Arafat's signature on the bill for terrorist death instruments. Bowell and Bush should not allow Arafat to manipulate them. Arafat is pulling their strings.

Empty, lying words from an empty shell of a terrorist scum.

Anytime Arafart issues a "statement" it's a lie. 40+ years of violence against Israel has shown us that.

Finish the job Sharon. Kill Arafat.

IMHO, Powell is an abject globalist.

I understand the potential duplicity of his "mission" in making it appear to the "moderate" Arabs that the US is not taking sides. (I do not believe that in this fight, and on this issue, there can be any "moderate" Arab states.)

But it was globalists like Powell that got us into a position where we have to use such duplicity in a situation crying for the pronouncement of clear moral imperatives, and crying for us to honor our own commitment to the war on terrorism.

You are either with us are you are with the terrorists

It is obvious to all where the Israeli's are and where Arafat is in that equation. Powell's mission, duplicity aside, is blurring where WE stand on the issue.

I have no use for such globalists as Powell. Ultimately, there agenda and their world view is destructive to US interests and the very ideals and values this nation was built upon.

Colin Powell is wishy washy.

That's Super Colin Blow Powell, and he's really a Democrat LIBERAL in RINO clothing.

The only reason that Powell refused to meet with Arafart yesterday is because President Bush just tightened his choke collar.

President Bush's slap at the State Department last week was a DIRECT swipe at Powell. If Super Colin Blow Powell is stupid enough to think that he can one-up the President in the Middle East, he's sadly mistaken.
