"MORE than 50,000 people took part in a massive demonstration after Friday prayers in Duraz yesterday to express solidarity with the Palestinian people.
One of the leaders Shaikh Isa Ahmed Qassim urged protesters to keep the demonstrations peaceful and not to use violence.
"People are being encouraged to take part in protests to express their feelings in a civilised manner but they must not destroy property or violate the law," he said.
"What we are doing is crucial and calls for the unity of all Arabs and Muslims in the world to confront a common enemy.
"All Arabs must boycott both US and Israeli products in support of our brothers in Palestine," said Shaikh Isa during his sermon.
"Arab leaders should take the demands and wishes of the people into consideration when taking a decision about the Palestinian-Israeli conflict."
After Friday prayers, Shaikh Isa led people in a demonstration that started from Duraz roundabout and continued to Saar roundabout before returning to Duraz.
Marchers carried pictures of Palestinians killed at the hands of the Israelis and chanted slogans in support of the Palestinians.
One of the protesters Ahmed Eid, 26, said he felt it was necessary to do something to support the Palestinian cause.
"Every one is moved by what is happening and we just can't keep quiet. We want to send a message to the whole world that all the people of Bahrain are supporting the Palestinians and are ready to give all they can to help them in their struggle," he said.
Abdulhussain Ali, 25, said he had become fed up with watching Palestinians subjected to torture and extermination while the whole world kept silent.
"We call on all Arab and Islamic governments to support the Palestinian resistance with money and arms, to confront Zionists, whether politicians, soldiers or settlers," he said.
"The Palestinian people are being subjected to the most brutal war of this era.
"The Nazi Zionists are using all their sophisticated weaponry and arms, supported by unlimited American backing, to exterminate the Palestinian people.
"Every decent Arab or Muslim has a role to play. The least they can do is to boycott American goods. "
Ibrahim Salman, 27, said the Palestinians must continue their struggle until the Israeli occupation ends.
"People should stop counting on Arab leaders because they always opt for diplomatic solutions instead of listening to the voice of the people," he said.
"Arab leaders have to wake up and see what is happening. The least they can do is open their borders and allow those who are interested in taking up Jihad to fulfill this obligation."
Abbas Ali, 29, believes that all Arabs and Muslims have a duty to support Palestinians in their rightful cause.
"My brothers are suffering in Palestine," he continued. "The whole world should know that we are standing besides them in their struggle and are ready to give up everything for them."
Malik Abdulla, 22, said the demonstrators had no intention of sabotaging other people's property and goods.
"These are peaceful protests to show the world that we don't accept what is happening in Palestine," he said
"Palestinians are sacrificing their lives every day for their country and we all are ready to support them financially and emotionally and are even ready to fight for them.
"The Government and the people should have the same sentiments towards the Palestinian cause."
Ibrahim Kadhim, 29, believes the least people can do is support the Palestinian cause morally and financially.
"Arabs have to stick together as a unit in the face of the devil Sharon," he said.
He said the demonstrators were ready to stand for 100 minutes in silence in respect for Palestinian martyrs but they would not stand for one second for the Israelis, as US Ambassador Ronald Neumann had previously requested.
"The Palestinians are protecting their land and what is left of Arab dignity with their blood and their lives," he continued.
"Why should we stand for the aggressors.
"As a diplomat, Mr Neumann must have realised that what he said is wrong, and for that he should leave."
In Muharraq, more than 500 people yesterday attended a rally organised by Al Eslah Society and Al Menbar National Islamic Society in co-ordination with Al Wasat Al Arabi Islamic Democratic Society.
There were speeches by Al Eslah Society representative Shaikh Ibrahim Al Hadi, Al Menbar National Islamic Society president Abdulla Al Huwaihi and Al Menbar Al Amal Al Taqadoumi president Abdulrahman Al Nuaimi.
Shaikh Al Hadi and Mr Al Huwaihi both blamed the US Ambassador for the fact that recent peaceful protests in Bahrain had turned violent.
Mr Al Huwaihi also stressed the importance of boycotting American products to try to pressurise America into a policy of fairness instead of one of support for the Israelis.
Mr Al Nuaimi said he believed all the world should unite against Israel and America if peace is to be achieved.
"Israel doesn't respect basic human rights as they kill without remorse and tend to destroy holy Islamic and Christian sites without respect," he said.
That is what Israel andIslamic terrorists want. Doesn't have to be that way. Israel has the power to take care of her own security but doesn't want to. Israel wants Americans to be human shields for the actions of the IDF. The terrorists want us tied to the neck to Israel because it creates situations such as we see in Bahrain and sidetracks America's war on terror and advancing America's interests.
Yellow flags? Perfect!
You rang?
True, you'd actually get more of them, but a daisy cutter so much more Pyrotechnic, if you know what I mean. Neutron bombs are too neat and somewhat anticlimatic. Although, the sight of all though protesters barfing their intestines out from radiation poisoning has a certain quaintness to it.
Regards.
I wouldn't put responsibility of destabilizing the entire Wahhabi terrorist machine on one Freeper!
I apologize if the reference to Stuckeys logs went over your head. Think of badly shrink-wrapped, cylindrical Fruitcake that has a white spacklelike binder and dubious nut fragments impacted on the surface...I've never heard of anyone actually eating one, but they used to have big displays of them at the Stuckeys chain of restaurants throughout the South. Just looking at this item made you want to see what form it would take at about 800 degrees...It might be some sort of super plastic...Never took the time to find out...
ROTFLOL! I hate it when that happens! I get your Stuckies reference now.
Best Regards, PsyOped
I like it. Instead of "Fat Boy" we'll name it "Easy off" and have a perky housewife hit the bomb release. It would make a great commercial wouldn't it? "Tired of greasy Arabs, and stuck-on Palestinians stinking up your kitchen? One blast of lemon-fresh 'Easy Off' will wipe your cares away" [pan out, bright flash in distance].
