brilliance of the LOTR project...I would hardly call it brilliance. Its been done how many times ?????? How many diffrent versions ????
It's been done once once before in the 70's, in a psychedelic cartoon version by Ralph Bakshi. But this is the first time it's been attempted in live action. And I'd call it brilliant.
Probably fewer times than the Star Wars tale has been done--SW is just a retelling and rehashing of medieval grail myths...with a lot of pyrotechnics thrown in.
