Miami local news have been reporting on the case of INS whistleblower Rick Ramirez.
Mr. Ramirez had a hearing Tuesday. April 9, where he denounced the actions of the Miami INS office, who under direct orders from then INS Commisioner Doris Meissner, destroyed and/or deleted all documents pertaining to the Elian Gonzalez case from their computers.
In a bomb shell announcement, Mr. Ramirez and his attorneys (Judicial Watch) have announced that at a press conference to be held Wednesday, April 10th. at 8:00 AM, they will produce proof that Juan MIguel Gonzalez was fully aware of Elisabet's trip to the US, that Juan Miguel wanted to leave Cuba as well, that the US government was fully aware that Juan Miguel Gonzalez was co-erced by Cuban agents, THAT HE ASKED FOR ASYLUM AT LEAST THREE TIMES WHILE HE WAS HERE, AND THAT EACH REQUEST WAS DENIED BY EX-AG, JANET RENO.

If this is true there will be some Democrats seeking asylum in Cuba.
To: Luis Gonzalez
That's good news. I hope they don't trash his reputation, if you know what I mean.

What are you talking about? This case has been goiung on for over a year now, the hearing was scheduled for today, which is why it's getting airtime now.
You are reacting as if this is some sort of political plot to hurt Reno, it has nothing to do with the race.

If this incident had been under a republican administration, would have supported sending the kid packing. Oh sure ----don't you remember the Russian boy who asked for asylum and Reagan gave it to him? His parents were going back to the Soviet Union, the boy wanted freedom and he got to stay.

They can run, but they won't be able to hide.

BINGO
We have a Winner..
That makes me rather suspicious, especially considering the timing. Reno has plenty of time left to patiently play the victim as a bunch of negative articles are written against her on this story, only to emerge the great "hero" if the story winds up being fabricated.
It's all in the timing...its Tuesday evening..going on Wednesday morning .
If were true it would be out early Saturday to miss the Sunday talk shows. This way it gets MAXIMUM publicity.

"It's all in the timing...its Tuesday evening..going on Wednesday morning ."You all should read, the reason why this is out today is because the hearing was scheduled for today.
I hate to spoil a good tin foil for you both.

that's Janet's cue to take a vacation to Washington State. And we'll kick her right back to Miami.

"You are reacting as if this is some sort of political plot to hurt Reno, it has nothing to do with the race." I'm merely concerned that this story could help and aid Reno if it first gets all hyped up and then she later proves it to be false.
And that would have EVERYTHING to do with the race...

Thought I was over being shocked and outraged by Clinton/Reno. Wrong again. This doesn't shock me ---when we saw how many of Castro's men "accompanied" Juan Miguel Gonzalez and how they never once allowed him to visit alone with his family who was caring for Elian ---which would certainly have been normal --- it was obvious there was a reason ---they knew he was going to ask for asylum and didn't want that out. They ---Castro, Reno and Castro's people were very careful not to allow him to talk to news, his family, or anyone. I remember how that nun even changed her mind after seeing some things.

Just to info everyone ( to those without government experience), all documents and files done with our dime and on our time belong to the taxpayers. Meisner has some major explaining to do. Just the act of disposing of these documents is a federal crime. I guess we may have another Susan McDougal type Clinton Kool Aid drinker here. Have fun in jail Doris.

I'm remembering how incredibly uptight Juan Miguel looked at his jail/residence in D.C. We knew then that he wanted to stay and thought he was afraid to ask. But if he asked and was turned down, wow! Reno, the Clintonistas, and Joan whatzername of National Council of Churches should be sentenced to jail in Cuba. Please keep me on bump list for developments.
To: Southack
Rick Ramirez started this over a year ago, I don't think Judicial Watch are openly "democrats", and who knows what the political affiliation of the scheduling clerk that set this hearing date.
I guess that the all conspired to have this story break this way.

Will do!
To: Luis Gonzalez
I believe this Luis, but this coming out is bad. Juan Miguel is still in Cuba along with Elian. This could be a death sentence for them.
To: McGavin999
Some people would say that they died the moment they got in the plane to go back.
To: Luis Gonzalez
No conspiracy. Just be careful. Scams work by telling people what they want to hear, after all (even political scams). The story might be true. The story might not be true. Jeb benefits neither way, but Reno benefits if the story turns out to be false. The danger of this story is therefore entirely on our side.

Yes, but while they are alive, there is hope.
To: Southack
The "story" is that Doris Meissner ordered the destruction of documents, and that's against the law. The secondary story is Reno.
Why don't we worry instead about Jeb's idiot daughter staying clean until election time.
