"The use of the words totalitarian and terrorist to apply to this situation is hyperbole."

I'd agree on the "terrorist" part, it's the first thing that jumps out from the article. It's becoming so overused to the point of taking all meaning out of the word. "Totalitarian," however, applies perfectly. This little exercise in raising political consciousness is right out of the diversity trainer's handbook - raise political consciousness while stifling political discourse. According to immigrants I know who've lived under PROC and Soviet rule, this type of thing was orchestrated regularly by the Party officers in charge of "political thought."

When you take a small group like GLSEN or whoever and call them totalitarian you have blown their importance, positions, impact, and actions far beyond the scope of their reach.
